Happy Saturday everyone! I had a great time with my Mother in Law and now it's back to the daily grind. We have had so much going on lately I thought I would tell you about some of the work we've done.

All week long we kept talking about what projects to get done and decided to paint the wall with our fireplace that continues into the dinning room. We had gotten a free pint of red paint, and put a small sample of it up on the wall. It was horrible, more like clown red than dark red like the color said.

So, we had to go to the hardware store and buy paint. We chose posh red, and it turned out a little darker than I thought, but I like it. We kept the other walls the same latte color and we'll probably paint them later, but I'm not looking forward to it. We have 10 ft ceilings and it is vaulted so it will be harder to paint, and I don't do ladders. Heights are not my friend!

Still working on getting things in place!

We were going to try and fix the garbage disposal and the sink, but that's for another weekend. Our disposal doesn't work and when we run the dishwasher, it backs up into the sink. It's pretty gross!



Neither Cory or I are very handy, so I think I will save this one for the plumber! We also have a counter top resurfacing project going on, but you'll find more out about that in a few days : ) We are still working on things in the house and it's going to take a a long time, but bit by bit it will get done!
