I don't have a lot of closet space in my cute little craftsman cottage. My clothes and accessories live in a built-in wardrobe, which is actually located in Balian's room. I have storage in the wardrobe, housing many, many purses and handbags. I have so many handbags that I actually forget about most of them. Many of them are designer bags, expensive- and they haven't seen the light of day since before Balian was born. As a mom, I've got to be honest in saying that I have zero time to change my purse. I used to change purses daily- always matching a different purse to my outfits... I sometimes changed purses twice a day- it just depended on what I was wearing. Those days are long gone, and the need for a roomy, functional, practical and stylish handbag has arrived.


This is where my friend Maureen Daniels comes in. Maureen is a consultant with a very cool direct sales company- Miche. Miche features just what you might be guessing it... handbags! I know what you're thinking... a home party plan company that sells handbags? Oh, yes- and these aren't your momma's handbags, either! These are the coolest, prettiest handbags available! I can tell you this because Maureen offered to send me my very own Miche Bag to review. I was completed floored by her offer! I get the opportunity to review lots of neat things, but this is my first experience with reviewing a purse! Maureen directed me to her Miche Bag website and asked me to take a look at the styles of bags they offer. She wanted me to select a size that would suit my needs, since I would be using it. I spent a lot of time looking around, because I am pretty new to Miche and wanted to explore. I found that the larger style (Prima) looked more like a bag I was likely to carry- since I bring the whole world with me every time I leave the house. Maureen selected my bag and had it shipped right to my door within just a few days.

My new Miche Bag arrived in a really cute box, and I couldn't wait to see which Miche Bag Maureen sent to me. Here's what was waiting for me...

I removed the wrapped items from the box. There was the actual handbag lining, the shell and a set of straps. The neat thing about Miche is that you start with a base bag, which honestly, you could use all by itself, and it would be a perfectly wonderful bag. Once you've selected the size of the bag that will work best for you, you can then select shells- the outer layer of the bag. The Miche Bag base simply fits right into the shell... and stays fastened together by magnetic strips along the top of each- the lining and the shell. How cool is that?

Next, you'll want to choose a shell to go over the base. There are thirty-eight shells available for the Prima base, alone! There are styles to suit everyone! I am really more of a classic handbag kinda gal. I don't like loud colors, and I'm not into funky or bold prints... I'm just not a risk-taker! Miche's got me covered, though! There are so many beautiful, classic and classy styles of shells to choose from. Maureen chose to send me the Katheryn Shell for my Prima base. She and I have never met, but I feel like she must know me, because she sent the exact shell that I would have chosen for myself! The Katheryn Shell is beautiful! It features a rich chocolate brown faux leather, and classic pleats around the bag, as well as rivets for added flair! This bag is me, simply said. It's a color and style and size that I love, and the best part is that I can use this shell year-round, and it will never go out of style!

My Prima Miche Bag is like a dream come true! I don't have to spend countless weekends looking around for the perfect handbag, anymore! There is so much room inside of this bag, too! I have enough room to tote around emergency diapers and wipes, a toy or two, all the usual things like keys, wallet, make up, cell phone, grocery lists and more! There are several pockets- a large pocket to hold little things (this is where I put my make up and hair pins, etc), and small pockets on the opposite site, which are perfect spots for my phone, lip gloss and a pen!

Now, the Prima Base for a Miche Bag obviously isn't everyone's style. There are smaller and more medium sized bases available, as well. Check out all five base styles right here. With so many shells available, you could literally change your purse every day, without really having to change your purse! You just simply change the shell! No more dumping everything out of your purse to swap it out for another one! Love, love, love that about Miche! The shells are all so beautiful, and there are a lot of colors, patterns and even textures to choose from! It's hard to play favorites with the Miche Shells, because I just like them all so much, but if I had to narrow it down, these would be at the top of my list...

Kali- perfect for the summertime! I have some jewelry that would look so good with this! I can just see myself in a stark white blouse or sundress, carrying this bag! Hot!

Lucy- a versatile style and pattern for warmer or cooler months! This would go nicely with a lot of things hanging in my closet!


Rosalyn- You almost can't tell, but this is a beautiful, sophisticated plumb color that I would love to tote around in the fall and winter!

I am definitely loving and enjoying my Miche Bag, and I am going to make sure my hubby and the rest of my fam have my Miche Bag wish list on hand for holidays, birthdays, etc! I wish Maureen lived closer to me, because I totally want to have a Miche Party! This would be a super fun way to get the girls together to talk about the latest fashion trends. I've not switched back to any of my other handbags since receiving my Miche Bag from Maureen. I take it everywhere, and I feel classy and special (I don't think Miche has hit Salisbury, NC yet!). I've received a lot (and I do mean a lot) of compliments on my Miche Bag, and have had several gals ask me where I got it. And of course, when I tell them about the bag, I have to show them how cool it is and what it does... and I also tell them to get over to my blog and read all about it so they can shop with Maureen! I am also loving the fact that Miche is totally affordable! Think about what you may spend on a typical designer bag, and then compare it to the prices of the Miche Bases and Shells. The choice is obvious!
