Babbaco Review and Giveaway

How do you teach your children about certain topics, especially using age appropriate activities and words? It can be hard, especially when you don't know where to start. While I used to be a teacher, working on lesson planning and extending activities for further enrichment, I just don't take the time and energy to do it for my own kids. Bad mommy habits, or maybe just busy mommy habits, either way I would love for my kids to have more of these moments.

That's where BabbaCo comes in!

BabbaCo was created in 2008 by a mom named Jessica. Jessica was creating baby products that she had invented when she came up with the idea for something new and unique in 2011 and BabbaBox was born. To read more about the BabbaCo team and their journeys, click here.

What is BabbaBox you ask?

BabbaBox is a monthly subscription box filled with engaging and fun age appropriate activities for kids. Each month will have a different theme or topic and include an assortment of items to create, explore, story tell, and connect. It will include all the instructions and materials your child will need to complete each activity. The box is geared towards 3-6 year olds, my 3 & 5 year old were the perfect age!

How is it designed?

The BabbaCo team works with early childhood experts to determine each month's theme and activities. They discuss child development and how to enrich and engage them appropriately while designing activities that will educate and stimulate.

How does a BabbaBox work?

After signing up for a monthly or annual membership, a box will arrive on the third week of each month. To check out memberships, click here. June's theme was "You Are What You Eat"-focusing on what we eat and becoming healthy, strong, and satisfied with our foods. July's theme involves beach and sea life--perfect for summer.

The entire Gratitude BabbaBox

All of this is in one BabbaBox, everything you will need to complete all the activities included. I didn't have to get out glue, scissors, paint, crayons, markers, or anything. Just open up each activity pouch and get to work. The kids loved all the creating and even listened when I explained how to do them, usually they just want to create whatever is in the little independent mind of theirs.

Our favorite page was about a jack rabbit zigging, zagging, and jumping. We are thankful for bunnies because we enjoy watching them in our backyard jumping and chasing each other. We also have found baby bunny nests, which is so cool for the kids to watch and see.

I could post pictures all day long of the fun activities we found in our BabbaBox. We split our activities up over a few different days. It has been so hot and dry, we just can't play outside long, so inside activities have been at a premium. The kids enjoyed opening up a new pouch and finding out what we were going to do each time. There was plenty to share between the two of them so nobody was left with less or more than someone else.

The Gratitude BabbaBox came at such a perfect time for us because we had been having some issues with our kids not seeming to appreciate what they have. It was so helpful to have activities and ideas to help explain what we had just been telling them. It truly was nice to sit with them and have them tell us all the things they were thankful for and why. I know having the BabbaBox gave them a fuller and more meaningful understanding of being thankful.
