Our Review of GummiBar: The Yummy Gummy Search for Santa:
We had seen the GummiBar videos on YouTube before and knew we were in for a movie filled with songs that stick in your head and make you bounce your feet. I will have to say, I find the GummiBar a wee bit much, but the kids LOVE him. They could not wait to see what was in store for his very first movie.
I will have to put some disclaimers in here, this movie is not rated (always a bit iffy) and does include some scenes where the reindeer are drinking beer and some not so nice jokes towards Santa are also used, so probably not the greatest movie for younger, impressionable kids. I am not sure that my kids even noticed these scenes, so I think we are okay.
It is also a pretty quick movie, at 50 minutes, and had a variety of interesting characters, including GummiBar, a vampire bat, a chameleon, and a cat. The movie is full of songs, very true to GummiBar, and the kids were bouncing around and dancing, they thought it was hilarious and fun. The story is something different for sure and all ends well. The animation is very colorful and bright too. I am sure this movie will be requested again, especially with the holiday season upon us.
