St. Patrick's garb anyone?

Anyway, March means St. Patrick’s day and every time St. Patrick’s Day comes around I am very reminiscent of my trip to Ireland in 2008. While I was there we traveled down the coast from Dublin to Bray and I really got a sense of the Irish culture and fell in love with it even more.

I have always joked about wanting to be Irish and my trip just solidified that. Sadly, I'm not even remotely close to having an Irish bone in my body. Don’t worry though, that won’t stop my love for all that is Irish!

Celtic Cottage Crafts

I was lucky enough to come across some new Etsy stores in my search for all things Irish and I immediately fell for Celtic Cottage Crafts. Celtic Cottage Crafts is an Etsy store that sells amazing Hand-made Celtic Batik Wall-hangings.

Owner and artist Karen Shiels, creates and sells beautiful works of art that are perfect for St. Patricks Day decorations as well as every day decorations. The coolest part of Celtic Cottage Crafts is the fact that Karen actually lives in Ireland! She makes her wall hangings in her cozy little Irish cottage in the West. Isn’t that such a romantic sounding life?!

Karen was very excited to work with Mommy’s Block Party and the two of us got to work right away. While deciding what wall hanging to make me, Karen and I figured out that she already had the most perfect wall hanging for me. Talk about fate! Karen sent me her Celtic Tree Of Life wall hanging for our kitchen and it looks sensational on the wall! I hope you’re not too jealous!

This wall hanging is so incredibly special to me because each time I look at it I think of how much I have grown in life, just like the gorgeous Celtic tree. Most importantly, it reminds me of one of the most special and life altering chapters of my life.
