Synopsis
Everyday Justin jumps into an exciting new childhood adventure. To understand and solve the situation, he imagines alternate scenarios where he and his friends are different people in different places. They ride rockets into space, discover new worlds with the Vikings and chase Cleopatra’s cat through the pyramids of Egypt. Often, Justin meets an animal who needs help, and in figuring out how to lend a hand, he learns lessons about science and nature. At the end of each show, Justin leaves his dream world to discover his mom or dad waiting for him to do some kind of activity, such as skating or building a birdhouse, and Justin is able to share with them what he has learned.
Our Thoughts...
We only discovered Justin Time a few months ago. We have a very basic cable package, so a lot of our discoveries for kid's shows are made through Netflix. We saw this series featured, and it looked interesting to B. When we we offered a set of all three Justin Time DVDs for review, I knew B would be thrilled! B loves Justin, Olive and cute little Squidgy! We popped one of the DVDs in, and were suddenly finding ourselves on a magical adventure!
B is always asking to watch Justin Time, and I don't mind letting him watch it, because he's learning about the world through this show, and through the eyes of another preschooler! Sometimes the adventures wind up in outter space, in a foreign country like Egypt or France, and sometimes we wind up on the Bayou and have a mission to invite fireflies to come to a special gumbo dinner party!
With every adventure, Justin learns something special about the world around him, and learns to really listen to what others around him are saying, as he often misunderstands or misinterprets what his parents said to him (just like other preschool aged kiddos). I give Justin Time two thumbs up for their creativity, and for helping me teach my son about the world around him- even those far off places he may never get to visit in his lifetime.

i love that he's educational, fun, and curious. i feel like he teaches kids to follow his lead and be adventurous and curious, and you can do that and have a fun time. i currently have 3 dvd's of Justin time, but do not own these 3.
ReplyDeletei would love to go to the Philippines. My fiance was lucky enough to have the opportunity to travel the world since he was 3. he's been everywhere! I want to visit the Philippines because that's where he was born and that is where my mother in law is from, i would really like to see where he grew up and experience the different food and life style.
