Having a little girl is so much fun, having two is even more so. The clothing choices are endless and can be overwhelming too. I like for my girls to have a unique style while at the same time looking like little girls. I try to find fun, fashionable, and most importantly comfortable clothing for them.
Luckily, I was introduced to an awesome clothing company through my sister in law and my niece, who had quite a few pieces from different collections they offered. I was thrilled to attend my first trunk show when S was just a few months old and have been enjoying it ever since. This company is Matilda Jane.
Matilda Jane was started in 2005 by Denise DeMarchis, a mother of two boys. As an artist, Denise wanted to use her unique creativity to a new venture-clothing for girls. What started out at art fairs in the Midwest and had great success, grew to a direct sales business with Trunk Keepers that still had an "art fair" feel.
Twice a year, Spring and Fall, Matilda Jane introduces a new line, always with an adorable name, that is exclusively available through a trunk keeper. The designs are fun, playful, bright, and unique in their colors, pattern, and style and available from little girls to adult sizes.
Matilda Jane is a special company for many reasons. One reason is for their heart, they believe it is their core and what makes them grow, share, and love. They offer programs and initiatives such as their Mighty Acorn Foundation and Habitat for Humanity.
This quote from the founder and designer of Matilda Jane, truly sums up how I feel about my girls and their clothing...
~"It's all about keeping a little girl...a little girl. Keeping her youthful. Keeping her spinning and twirling and carefree. And most importantly, bringing her happiness." ~
With their Spring Line launching, Matilda Jane was looking for someone like us to spread the news. As a huge fan of Matilda Jane, I was thrilled to be blessed with this opportunity and I can't say enough how generous and wonderful it has been.
It's A Wonderful Parade has been released
Our Matilda Jane package is here and we can't wait to see what it will be!
S is ready to see!
First, we found a nicely wrapped package (we weren't ready to peek yet), a note with what was included, and an informational sheet on all things Matilda Jane from the Founder, Denise.
Then it was time to open!
Look at the generosity, we were shocked and thankful for such a great gift!
Matilda Jane always has their clothing packaged inside neat little bags. This is just a nice extra touch, one of many that I have learned Matilda Jane offers. We have quite the collection of these bags from our past purchases and I have kept every one of them.
Our first Matilda Jane item from "It's A Wonderful Parade" was the Cloudy Puffer Tee
This is a great staple piece. A creamy white color that can go with basically anything (Matilda Jane or not). It is made of super soft cotton and is really comfortable against the skin. The sleeves are 3/4" length so it is also perfect for the Spring weather.
Our second item was the Sweetheart Ruffle Leggings
These are so cute and perfect for girls of all ages. They are a bright coral color with heart accents from top to bottom. They are thicker while still being cool and comfy on the legs. The ruffles around the bottom are just an extra dose of cute. These leggings are meant to hit at the ankle but would still be adorable as capri length too.
Our third item was the Love Bug Knot Top
My favorite of the three pieces! This knot top is all girl with bold colors and patterns, dainty lace accents, flutter sleeves, strawberries, and cherries.
These three Matilda Jane pieces easily offer us three separate looks for S to wear to school or something special. They are easily worn with each other or standing alone. That is how Matilda Jane collections work and these three pieces can also be paired with an assortment of other things in the "It's A Wonderful Parade" line. While S is on the smaller side at almost 5 years, we got her 6's. This will give her plenty of time to wear and love her clothes before we pass them down to C.

Whenever we have Matilda Jane clothing on, someone will ask us where we got it. I am never shy to share our finds with others. The thought, detail, and love that goes in to all of Matilda Jane designs is obvious. Their clothing is well made, comfortable, and one of a kind. I was a huge Matilda Jane fan before and will remain one because of all that they offer both in their customer service and quality of clothing.
