Padded Play Mats by Baby J {Review and Giveaway}

Baby C is on the go with us and no longer is content to sit in a car seat or stroller, so getting down and playing happens a lot more these days. This isn't always the best option though, because the areas are baseball or soccer fields, dance studios, or gyms. These places are not soft for babies to play on or very clean, so I end up holding a wiggly baby who just wants to get down and play.

Luckily, we were offered the chance to review a company that specializes in padded play mats and we of course said YES!

Baby J, designs and manufactures from LA, and was created by a mom, for other moms. When the creator's son, Luca, was an infant, she noticed a need for a small, clean area for her little one to lay and play on when they were out. This got her thinking and after some creativity got going, she had created a padded baby play mat that was soft, fashionable, and clean; perfect for her baby and other babies to use over and over again. Baby J also offers bibs, burp clothes, and their original item-the padded play mat, all made in the USA.

We were able to look through all of the Baby J padded play mats and pick which one we liked best. The designer fabrics and designs are gorgeous and fun, we had a difficult time choosing our favorite, but finally made a choice.

Wow, this is even cuter in person and wrapped with a ribbon. I feel like I am opening a present for myself. I think it is great when companies add small touches like this to their products.

We chose the Padded Play Mat in Giraffe Garden Gray, which currently retails for $47.

All of the Baby J padded play mats are made from 100% cotton in designer fabrics on one side and super soft minky on the other side. The Giraffe Garden Gray is really beautiful. The colors just pop right off the fabric and it is a gender neutral design, perfect for baby boys or girls. The minky is a silvery gray and insanely soft and fluffy.

The Baby J padded play mats measure 29" x 35" when fully unfolded and 14" x 8" x 5" when folded and secured with the Velcro closure. The Velcro makes for easy folding and securing and most importantly, for helping the mat stay sanitary between uses and washes. The Baby J padded play mat is machine washable in cold water and low dry.

This play mat is almost too great to use outside just yet, so we have been using it inside the house on our hardwood floors. Baby C loves sitting on it to play with her toys and big sister loves to try and take over on it. It is big enough for both of them and sit to play together and have some extra cushion on the hardwood.
