This One's for the Guys! Lugz for Men #SpringStyleReview + #Giveaway

It's not often that we have a featured geared specifically toward the guys here on MBP. Part of our style guide for spring is absolutely meant to include style items for men. It's hard for me to describe my husband's personal style. When we were teenagers, I knew him to only wear band t-shirts and shorts. I asked him to try wearing a polo shirt every once in a while after we started dating, and there's been no turning back. He sometimes wears t-shirts, but not often... he's pretty much a polo sort of guy with cargo shorts. When it comes to shoes, my husband is extremely particular. He likes to be comfortable, so he's used to wearing trail shoes, or walking boots. Every now and then he'll wear sandals, especially during warm weather. He shies away from anything that looks too 'preppy.'

When I was offered the opportunity to review a pair of men's shoes from Lugz, I was both excited, and hesitant. I was excited for hubby to be the recipient of a special new pair of shoes, but wondered what he would think about the styles?

I have previously worked with Lugz, and absolutely loved the Mahala Boots I received from them earlier this year. You can check out my review of those boots, here. Lugz has been outfitting men, women and children in their stylish shoes, boots and apparel, since 1993. I was ten years old when Lugz came onto the scene, and little did I know that my family would fall in love with the brand years later! Early on, Lugz was endorsed by key players from the world of hip hop, and its draw has only expanded since then!

Lugz has many fantastic collections of men's boots and men's shoes, so I was excited to offer my husband the chance to select a canvas shoe style that he'd like to review. It's always nice to have a guy's point of view expressed on MBP every now, and then.

Sacha (hubby) poured over the Lugz website to select his shoes. He commented on how awesome the selection was, and how user friendly the Lugz website was, as well. After he found the pair of shoes that were meant to be his, we put the 'order in', and waited for their arrival. When the shoes arrived, Sacha was as giddy as he is on Christmas morning. I kid you not, he asked me for about five days before the shoes arrived... 'Did they come today? Are they here yet?'

Sacha was all too excited to lift up the shoebox lid and reveal his new shoes from Lugz!

I was so surprised that Sacha chose these shoes. I thought they looked great on the website, and they looked even better in person. I knew Sacha was pleased with the shoes, because he wanted to try them on right away, and wear them to the movies that same evening that they arrived!

Casual, comfortable, and stylish...

Once I saw the shoes on Sacha, I concurred that they were 'so him.' He chose charcoal, which is no surprise, as grey is one of his favorite colors. Sacha has grey-blue eyes, and wearing grey just makes them smoulder. I was excited that he wanted to wear his new Lugz Pronto Lo Shoes out on our date when we went to see 'Divergent.' He said he really felt comfortable in them, though he's have to get used to wearing a new style.

Sacha did wind up removing the top blue laces, but said he would definitely add them back every now and again.

Sacha really loves the way the laces cross, and the silver embellishment on the Pronto Lo's. They make the shoes stand out from the rest!

Lookin' good...

Sacha was initially worried about keeping the white trim on the shoes clean, but we found that just a wipe with a paper towel removes unwanted dirt. He makes the choice not to wear them out in the rain, or after we've had rainy weather, so they don't get muddy. Sacha has worn his Pronto Lo Canvas Shoes by Lugz out and about on the weekends, on our date nights, and he's even worn them to choir practice at church. I can't believe he didn't come home with a report that someone had fallen out of their chair after seeing him in a new shoe style!

All in all, Sacha has been super pleased with these shoes. He said they're super comfortable, are a nice, casual style, and he's looking forward to getting a lot of wear out of them.
