Hey there, and Happy Wednesday! Today's post is coming to you from NJ, where we are visiting our family this week. We haven't done a whole, whole lot yet, because we only just arrived late Monday afternoon. One of our musts for Tuesday, was a trip to Carlo's Bakery, which is located in Ridgewood, NJ. This is not the original Carlo's Bake Shop, which is in Hoboken, but it's one of their many sister shops. We were very excited to go to Carlo's and try some of the pastries that we have seen featured on Cake Boss. B was overwhelmed by the choices of cupcakes and cookies!

The crumb bun was almost all crumb, just like Buddy tells everyone on Cake Boss... and it was delicious!

Another trip to Carlo's will be in order before we leave, for sure! We're having a great time visiting family, and seeing some of our old favorite places. My sister Britt and I spent some our childhood here in NJ, so it's fun for me to be here with my hubby, and son, showing them some of the places I loved as a kid, and exploring some new places, as so much has changed!

Today, we're headed to NY, to surprise B and take him to the LEGOLand Discovery Center in Yonkers. We're looking forward to spending the day with him, playing and having lots of LEGO fun. The rest of the week will hold more visiting with family, a day trip into the city (NYC), perhaps a trip to the park, and who knows what else. We're just enjoying being on vacation!
