On May 27th, Dora and Boots explore together in eight great adventures. This inseparable duo visits a magical rain forest amusement park, celebrates Best Friends Day, rescues Boots' shiny red boots, recovers Boots' lost cuddly dinosaur, and more in over three hours of fun. Preschoolers everywhere will be chanting "vámonos" along with Dora and Boots.

 

Just a Little More Information:

Dora the Explorer, created by Chris Gifford, Valerie Walsh Valdes, and Eric Weiner, is a play-along, animated adventure series starring Dora, a 7 year old Latina heroine, whose adventures take place in an imaginative, tropical world filled with jungles, beaches, and rain forests. She explores her world just as preschoolers do everyday and the show is designed to actively engage the audience in an interactive quest using a variety of learning techniques. In every episode, Dora and Boots invite the audience to come along with each step of the journey, where they might encounter a problem or puzzle to solve. Dora is proudly bilingual and uses her knowledge of both English and Spanish to communicate with her friends and reach her goals. She also teaches the viewers words and phrases in Spanish and ultimately will triumph in the end!

Riding the Roller Coaster Rocks

Dora, Boots, and Abuela explore the magical rain forest amusement park, Adventure Forest, so they can ride the roller coaster Rocks.

 

Best Friends

Happy Best Friends Day! Today is a special day for best friends to play together. Boots and Dora decide to meet for a picnic to celebrate.

 

Dora's First Trip

Dora tells the story of how she first met Boots. On their very first adventure, Dora and Boots have to bring instruments back to the Fiesta Trio so they can play for the Cranky Queen Bee.

 

The Big River

Boots loses one of his shiny red boots in the Big River. Dora and Boots set off on a wild water adventure as they chase after a runaway boot.

 

Boot's Special Day

Today, Boots gets to do anything he wants because it is his special day. His most favorite thing in the whole world is to visit his daddy at work.

 

Baseball Boots

Boots loves baseball! He loves to run, catch, and throw, but so far he's never gotten a hit. So when Dora and Boots have a big baseball game, Boots is determined to get his first hit.

 

Boot's Cuddly Dinosaur

It's bedtime, and Dora and Boots are having a sleepover. Dora has her teddy bear, Osito, but Boots can't find his cuddly dinosaur. His dinosaur must have fallen out of his bag at Play Park.

 

Call Me Mr. Riddles

Boots is thrilled to hear about the riddle contest today at the Tall Mountains. Boots is sure he can solve the silliest riddle.

We are big fans of Dora and have been watching it for a few years now. Not only is she popular at our house, she is popular too many preschoolers too! She and her buddy Boots are great friends who love adventure and this DVD proves just that.

I am glad that Nickelodeon offers Dora and promotes it. I feel safe letting my kids watch it, the language and learning is completely appropriate and does offer some educational bits along the way.
