Well friends, Drew's has started second grade and she is heading back to school in style with school uniforms by French Toast! Though some may frown upon their children having to wear uniforms, more and more schools are implementing a uniform policy, and for good reason.
There are lots of benefits of the kiddos wearing uniforms to school, such as:
School uniforms have a positive effect on students AND teachers!
School uniforms boost school spirit!
School uniforms promote a safe, healthy learning environment!
School uniforms make mornings easier!
School uniforms are cost-effective.
School uniforms encourage individual self-expression.

French Toast is America's leading brand of school uniform. The company has been providing families with quality children's clothes since 1958. Their uniforms are available in a variety of sizes (from toddler to young adult), colors, and styles all year round.

Our family first found out about the French Toast brand when we started shopping for Drew's kindergarten school clothes a few years ago. All of the schools in our town have a dress code and students are required to wear uniforms. We shopped around, and found that the French Toast brand had the nicest looking and most reasonably priced uniforms. The best part is, your kids will definitely outlast the clothes. Drew's kindergarten uniforms are still in great shape, and if she didn't grow like a weed, I'd feel perfectly comfortable sending her in those clothes this year.

This year, Drew selected a navy Canvas Safari Shirtdress, a navy 2-in-1 Pleated Dress, a white (which makes Mom cringe) Short Sleeve Pointy Collar Blouse, and a black Pleated Scooter with Square Belt Buckle (among other pieces) for her back to school wardrobe. She was so excited when the package arrived from French Toast, and to be honest Mommy was just as excited!

I feel great about sending my daughter to school in clothes that not only look great, but that I know will stand up to the normal (and maybe sometimes not so normal) wear and tear a second grader puts them through. Because of this, I recommend the French Toast brand to everyone I know and it will be the brand we use when buying school uniforms, for as long as we need to buy school uniforms!

I like their Mocked Layered Pique Polo
ReplyDeleteI like there is no comparing who wears what brands to school and looks the best. With uniforms, they are all wearing school uniforms so eliminates a lot of the hurt with kids who could afford more than others
ReplyDeleteI like the two in one pleated dress.
ReplyDeleteI love how my grandchildren look in their uniforms. Too bad all schools in CT don't do this
ReplyDeleteI would get the Short Sleeve Peter Pan Blouse with Lace Trim Collar, and some Khaki pants.
ReplyDeleteI like the boys Short Sleeve Pique Polo
ReplyDeleteI like the Puff-Sleeve Polo i white
ReplyDeleteI would pick the Kick Pleat Scooter skirt and the Long Sleeve Interlock Knit Polo with Picot Collar
ReplyDeleteI've never had to wear them but I kind of like the idea of everyone wearing the same thing. I think it would take a lot of anxiety out of children who can't afford nice clothes.
ReplyDeleteI would choose the short sleeve pique polo in pink and white.
ReplyDeleteI like not having to worry about what outfit to wear. Everyone is wearing the same think so nothing is "cooler" than someone else.
ReplyDeleteI like having the kids to all be in the same category without these "name brand" fancy clothing some cannot afford. With uniforms, it eliminates a lot of that
ReplyDeleteIf I were lucky enough to win, I'd choose the belted cargo shorts for my oldest son, the red sport polo for him as well as he just got new uniform colors in middle school. For the last item, I would choose the Short Sleeve Interlock Knit Polo in navy for my middle son.
ReplyDeleteI love that our kids need school uniforms, because it gets rid of some of the brand-name worries. As for dislikes, the only dislike I have is, when schools need their logo on the polos, as this adds an extra cost, but thankfully our kids' school does not do this.
ReplyDeleteI love how the uniforms kind of makes the kids look as if they are ready for learning - ready to be serious.

ReplyDeleteI just like the most that there is no competition on who is wearing what brands and who has designer clothing and who doesn't
ReplyDeleteI would choose the Double Knee Pant (Modern Fit) Workwear Finish and the Sport Polo.
ReplyDeleteMy sister swears by the double knee pants for my nephew.

ReplyDeleteI like school uniforms because focus can be more on learning than who is the best dressed.

ReplyDeleteI dislike the white polo shirts for our kids' uniforms, because the mustard and paint stains are impossible to get rid of.
ReplyDeleteDrew kept picking white shirts and each time she did, I cringed. I try to save the white shirts for underneath the dresses/jumpers, but it doesn't always work out that way.
DeleteThat's what I was thinking about doing for our daughter, but for the boys it is just impossible. I found a great deal on white polo shirts the first year, but I sure learned my lesson.
DeleteMy oldest son is in middle school, and the fact that he uses school uniform really took a lot of hassle out of back-to-school shopping. There was no fuss about specific brands and logos, which made it much more affordable as well.
ReplyDeleteReversible Dress Belt
ReplyDeleteI like the school uniforms makes the transition between home and school more clear, and it makes it easier to get out of the door in the morning.
ReplyDeletei love the Adjustable Side Pleated Jumper

ReplyDeleteI like (love) the uniform rompers and dresses, (of course my three boys can't wear them), and I think the girls look adorable in them.
ReplyDeleteI would choose the Hooded Sweatshirt, the Short Sleeve Pique Polo and the Pull-On Boys Pant for my grandson.

ReplyDeleteI love uniforms, because my kids thinks it makes them look smarter:)

ReplyDeleteI like their is no judging others for what they are wearing
ReplyDeleteI like their is no competition with clothing styles
ReplyDeleteWhat do I not like about school uniforms? There is not as much leeway for kids to express themselves and their individuality.
ReplyDeleteI love the girls dress blazer, the contrast mock 2-for polo, and the plaid two tab scooter skirt is cute.
ReplyDeleteI am basically liking the fact there is no competitions or judging on your clothing
ReplyDeleteI love that our school does not ask for monogrammed uniform pieces, because this makes it a lot easier and affordable, plus we can choose the brands that we know will last without breaking the bank.
ReplyDeleteI would get the
ReplyDeleteAdjustable Waist Pleated Double Knee Pant (Modern Fit) for my son.
I like that school uniforms kind of evens out the kids in the sense of who has money for expensive clothing and who doesn't. At our school more than 90 percent off the kids get free lunches due to their parents' low income, and school uniforms makes it easier for everyone to fit in.
ReplyDeleteUniforms portrays strength in numbers. It could be service or religious in nature. The uniform is a very powerful and influential in whatever setting the uniform is worn.
