Beautiful Tees for Fall from Ellembee #Review + #Giveaway

It's fall! I am so excited that fall is finally here, and I almost can't believe that we're actually experiencing real fall temperatures here in North Carolina. I am so used to summer weather lasting through October, sometimes rolling into November, and then having fall weather all through the winter. It seems that the seasons figured out they were a bit off kilter, and now we're having a true fall! I love fall- it's my favorite season, and I love fall fashion right along with the beautiful changing leaf colors, crisp temperatures, and scents of the season, For as much as I love fall fashion though, my wardrobe was seriously lacking transition pieces. I have a lot of summer dresses and tops, and then my wardrobe goes straight to long sleeves and sweaters, with not much else in between.

This is the perfect time to year to have so much fun with what you wear. It's almost like all of the previous fashion rules that once existed have been thrown out the window, and you can pretty much pair anything with anything, and wear what you want, as long as you're comfortable in it. I am still a fan of classics, like t-shirts, because those never go out of style, and they can be dressed up or worn casually, pretty much anytime.

I knew that I needed some more basic elements to my fall wardrobe, but I'm the kind of gal who won't wear just anything. I began looking for some 'out of the box' tees for fall, and fell in love with the designs at Ellembee. Ellembee is owner by Lisa Boesch, who began a new business venture in 2008, after being laid off from her job, where she was a bedding designer in California. After she lost her job in CA, Lisa moved back to her hometown (Detroit, MI), where she picked back up, and began her company, Ellembee. On her Ellembee website, Lisa describes being laid off as 'the best thing that ever happened to me.' Today, Ellembee offers customers unique hand printed tees and more, made with eco-friendly, water-based ink.

I was thrilled to connect with Lisa, excited to share her success story, and for the opportunity to experience the beauty of one of her Ellembee tees for myself. Lisa alowed me to choose a style that I liked best, and sent it my way, for my enjoyment.

My tee arrived, and when I opened my package from Ellembee, I found a beautiful burst of color, all rolled up and tied up with string. Lisa also included some business cards and info, which I appreciated, because I love keeping these on hand (for my own reference), and also love to take them with me to hand off to friends (because someone is almost always commenting on what I wear).

As I ran my fingers over the delicate, burout style tee, I noticed how soft and sheer it was. I love burnout tees! They're very stylish, and by changing one simple element of the acual t-shirt, that alone makes this shirt stand out from your ordinary, everyday t-shirt.

I requested the gorgeous Twig Tee in wine from Ellembee. As I looked through the different options from Ellembee, I had a really hard time deciding what to choose. Lisa and her awesome team have so many beautiful designs to choose from, and they offer tanks, tees, long sleeves, hoodies, dresses, scarves, etc. Each piece I saw at Ellembee stood out to me in some way, and I changed my mind 2-3 times, before I decided to go with the Twig Tee. I knew the Twig Tee was for me, though- I loved the burn out style, truly loved the wine color of the tee (so, so perfect for fall), and loved the simple twig design.

I couldn't wait to wear the Twig Tee, and figured that I could wear it multiple ways, including my favorite way- with jeans!

Since the tee is a burn out style, I wore a cami of a similar color underneath. I could have also paired it with a white cami underneath, but I didn't want to draw attention away from the color of the Twig Tee, or away from the beautiful twig design. I love the fit of the shirt. Ellembee offers their customers an awesome size chart, which includes measurements of each piece, and includes sleeve length. I can't tell you how happy I was to see the sleeve lengths shown on the website. I have long, lanky arms, and almost always wind up with sleeves that are too short... so annoying. The sleeves on my Ellembee tee are long- perfect for me, especially since I like my sleeves to almost rest beyond my wrists, and on top of my hands. The item detail also lists height and weight of the model wearing the garment, so you can make comparisons, and select your needed size, accordingly.

The size small was just right for me, and the tee is fitted, just the way I like my tees to be. The twig design on the side is simple, yet beautiful... almost dancing across the tee, bringing it to life, and making it an 'eye-catcher.'

I have worn this tee a couple of times thus far, and fully expect to wear it much more, now that the temps are cooling down around here. I enjoyed wearing this top with olive colored shorts and canvas shoes, as well as with simple jeans. I can't wait to wear it different ways all fall and winter long!

Aren't Lisa's designs beautiful? I especially love that Ellembee offers cute, cute onesies for baby boys and girls, as well! We have friends expecting their first baby in December, and I'd love to surprise them with a onesie from Ellembee, for their precious little girl!
