It's up to Team Umizoomi and UmiFriend to save Umi City from a shape-snatching super villain, the Shape Bandit. The Shape Bandit is creating chaos wherever he goes, taking rectangle windows, triangle roofs, circle traffic lights, and more. But when he steals Geo's Shape Belt, he really crosses the line. With the help of UmiFriend, Team Umizoomi must square off against this furry enemy to save their city and get Geo's Shape Belt back!
Dora the Explorer: Catch the Shape Train!

There is a balloon festival and everyone is excited. The group teams up to create a neat balloon, but Kai-lan breaks the dinosaur balloon, Stompy doesn't want to help her because it wasn't his fault that the balloon broke.
Blue's Clues: Shape Searchers

Our Thoughts

"I wonder what is inside?"
A Nickelodeon Let's Learn Patterns and Shapes DVD
This is a great variety of some very popular characters. S is a fan of Umizoomi, especially Bot, and Dora, while knows a little less about Kai-Lan and Blue. I was excited to see such a great, educational theme, perfect for preschoolers who are getting ready to head off to school. The focus of all the episodes is really on the topic of patterns and shapes, which S is pretty confident with. These episodes give her a little more concrete practice in a fun and silly way. I think this will also be a good fit for C when she gets a bit older, with the characters and format, she will be learning in no time. I am interested in checking out the other Let's Learn DVDs now that we have seen this one.

I need to pick up a copy of this DVD. I'm really impressed that Blues Clues was included....it was an absolute favorite of my sons years ago, and I'd really love for my baby girl to enjoy it too. She is already a fan of Dora and Team Umizoomi...
ReplyDeleteI loved books growing up too, as do my kids, books will never go out of style!
