The holidays are coming, whether or not I'm ready for them! This is by far the busiest time of year for our family. We're running here, there, and everywhere, involved in so many things, and realize how precious the little time we're all about to spend at home together really is. The last thing I want to do while we're all together, is waste time. I cherish those moments where we can sit and watch a movie, play a game, or have a late night dance party together. Keeping my home clean and organized plays a big part in the time we're able to spend together. When everything is where it is supposed to be, and everyone helps out, we all benefit from that, and have more time to spend together.
If there's one company that knows a thing or two about kitchen and home organization, it's YouCopia! Truthfully, they are experts when it comes to kitchen organization, and their unique products make it easy to organize just about any space! I have had the pleasure of working with the fine folks at YouCopia twice before, and you can find my previous reviews on their CoffeeStack and TeaStand.
YouCopia is a company that believes that our homes should work so that we can play when we're at home. Finally! YouCopia creates 'AH-HA!' products for the home, which are sleek in design, fully functional, can be easily stored and concealed, or left out in the open. The company was founded by father-daughter duo Mark and Lauren Greenwood in 2006. Mark has 30+ years experience as an inventor in various industries, and sought to change the traditional 'spice rack.' Thus, their very first product, the Spice Stack, was born, and the team looked ahead to the future of great kitchen products!
YouCopia has so many innovative products, and I was pleased to receive an opportunity to review one of their newest products- the Crazy Susan Turntable.
I received the Crazy Susan, along with a YouCopia product catalog, and personal note from Cynthia.
I love the bright packaging of the Crazy Susan, which presents ways to use the product in your home.
The Crazy Susan was protected by plastic in its box.
As I removed the Crazy Susan from its packaging, I noticed how sturdy the product was. So many organizing products are a big waste of money, because they're cheap, and break/fall apart or crack with ease. I know that YouCopia cares about the quality of their products. All of the products I have from YouCopia have held up extremely well, over the past two years. I couldn't help but give the Crazy Susan a spin, after all, it's a turntable, and that's what it's designed to do! It spun around with ease, and I knew that this product was going to be awesome!
The Crazy Susan may not look like much, but wait until you see what it can do!
I had my eye on this cabinet in my kitchen- a great spot to use the Crazy Susan (look at this mess!)
I really wanted to use the Crazy Susan in my largest kitchen cabinet, where we keep spices, and some of the medicines we use most often. We don't have many cabinets, so we have to make the most of them. I made room for the Crazy Susan in this cabinet, but to my disappointment, the cabinet door wouldn't close with the Crazy Susan on the shelf. This is because we have built in spice shelves in the cabinet doors.
So, I went to my next spot- the pantry. This area desperately needed some help!
I love having a walk-in pantry. It's awesome, but it's narrow, and always disorganized. I spent hours organizing the shelves, only to have everything lovingly rearranged by my hubby, and four-year-old. The area that I keep baking items in is probably the worst. Things are just shoved anywhere and everywhere. I really need to keep this area organized, because I know that we'll soon be baking holiday goodies, and I will need to be able to find what I need.
I removed these items, and placed the Crazy Susan on the pantry shelf. The handy bar in the back lifts up and stays in place, to keep items standing, and from falling off the back of the turntable.
I added the items I knew I would be using the most- sprinkles, decorative gel, corn muffin mix, Crisco, chocolate, baking soda, cookie add-ins, etc.
I was pretty impressed that I was able to add all of these pantry items to the Crazy Susan, and that there was even a bit of room left for more!
I still have to replenish a few items, like sprinkles and chocolate chips for the holiday season, and I know that when I do, there will be room for them on the YouCopia Crazy Susan Turntable! Everything I will need for holiday baking, will be right within reach, and I can easily turn the Crazy Susan one way or the other to grab what I need.
I wanted to show that this product can be used for organizing needs all over the home, so I took the Crazy Susan to my powder room, and tried it out on my counter.
I was able to load up the Crazy Susan with some of the products that I use most often in the bathroom.
Daily cleansers, deodorant, nail care polishes and products, perfumes, hair styling products, and more- all fit on the Crazy Susan!
Plus- the middle area of the Crazy Susan slides forward with ease, so you can quickly grab what you need!
Here's the back bar, which keeps items from falling off the back when the Crazy Susan is turned. No flying products!
The Crazy Susan by YouCopia looks as nice in my bathroom as it does in my pantry, and functions just as well. Maybe I need another one!

ReplyDeleteI would love to win the spice organizer because we have a lot of spices (my husband is a chef by profession) and our kitchen is really small ironically! I think one of my best tips for staying organized is to keep up with it on a regularly basis so it does not become too overwhelming, then you just keep putting it off!
