Can it be? Has cold weather finally settled in and unpacked its bags for the duration of the fall and winter seasons? Fall and winter can be so wonky here in North Carolina. One day, it'll be in the 70's, and the next, we'll be in the 20's. Last winter was very cold, grey, and wet. We didn't necessarily receive much snow, but we had a lot of very cold rain. My son loves to splash and jump in rain puddles (it's so much fun!), but I don't love his shoes, socks and feet winding up soaking wet and super cold! Protecting his tootsies during the cold weather is important to me, so I looked for the best protective footwear for kids I could find.

I was happy to re-connect with the fine folks at Western Chief Kids, who were happy to send us a special pair of children's rain boots to try out this fall season. Western Chief Kids sent B a pair of their super awesome Batman Rain Boots!

Batman is one of B's favorite heroes, so when he opened the package from Western Chief Kids, he flipped out over the boots! He has been asking for rain boots, but I knew that not just any rain boots would do, nor was I willing to settle for a pair of boots that would fall apart after being worn once or twice.

The Batman Rain Boots by Western Chief Kids are like a work of art! Batman's face is at the toe of each boot, and his cape swirls back behind him. He also has one fist up, showing his knuckles- hey... Batman means business! Batman's Bat Signal is also on each boot, as well as on the back. The boots are a mix of grey and black- perfect to wear with just about anything.

B can easily fit his pants down inside of the boots, so his pants will stay dry while splashing and having fun in the rain or snow.

I can't even begin to convey B's excitement over these boots. Sine we received them, he has asked to wear them everywhere we go! He desperately wants to wear them to school, to show his friends, and is waiting for a rainy day to come along, so he can do so! We have worn these boots on many an outing in the past couple of weeks, and I kid you not- everywhere we go, we have have had someone asking where these adorable boots came from. Moms can't get over the capes in back- they are the icing on the cake!

B definitely feels like one cool kid in the Western Chief Batman Rain Boots, and I feel good knowing that his feet will be kept warm and dry!

We have worn the boots out shopping, out to dinner, to play in the yard, and in the house, for no reason other than to enjoy them. B wears them comfortably, without complaint (though he does slip out of them every once in a while- but that just means that he has room to grow into them, which I love!). I have read comments on the Western Chief Facebook page, of children sleeping in their Western Chief Kids Rain boots, because they love them so much. B definitely shares that same love for his Batman boots, and I know that he would wear them to bed, if I would let him!

I am so happy for B to have a pair or durable, reliable, quality rain boots that he can wear, and also enjoy this winter. They will not only provide him with a bit of fun, but they will keep him warm, and dry. Having the ability to tuck his pants into the boots keeps his pants dry, as well. Double yay!
