I am not a huge makeup wearer, but the two things I do put on before leaving the house are powder and mascara. I like the look mascara gives, but never have been able to get the "amazing" results I see on the TV commercials. Recently, I have started seeing people on Facebook and other social media outlets posting about this great new product called 3D Fiber Lashes. I was impressed with the pictures I had been seeing and was interested in checking them out.
I contacted someone we had worked with in the past, Ashley, all the way back in spring of 2012, you can check out that review here. Ashley also had worked with Ondria, you can see that review here. When I emailed Ashley, I was hoping she would have something great to share with our readers for our Holiday Gift Guide, and when she responded and let me know she was a part of 3D Fiber Lashes, I knew I had found what I was looking for.
Younique, founded in 2012, by brother and sister team, Derek and Melanie, looks to make women feel, look, and be beautiful inside and out. They offer high quality products that encourage inner and outer beauty, uplifts, and empowers with new and exciting cosmetic and skincare lines. It is direct sales company, so every presenter can have the opportunity for personal growth and financial reward.
Ashley is a Younique presenter, which means she can own her own business, work from home, choose her hours, and put in the effort she wants to put in. With Younique, Ashley has been able to become a White Status Presenter and loves sharing her knowledge and products. Ashley was very excited to share 3D Fiber Lashes with me and give our readers a real chance to see what they were all about.
My Younique with Ashley package is here!
Ashley shipped my package USPS Priority and also sent me shipping confirmation. This is a great touch, this way I know exactly when to be on the lookout something fun in the mailbox.
Inside, wrapped in bubble wrap, was my fun Younique product, I was so excited.
I love the case, so sleek and shiny.
I received the Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes
This case contains all that I need to create amazing lashes I have seen in pictures. There is a .23 fl oz Transplanting Gel and a .02 oz container of Natural Fibers. These are Younique's best selling products and are said to enhance and magnify the appearance of your own lashes. They retail for $29.
I opened the case to find a set of instructions, much needed, and 2 containers filled with gel and fibers.
I was now all set to start trying this product out for myself and see what everyone else was seeing.
I removed both containers and the instructions out of the case. I then read the instructions very carefully.
Ashley had sent me some insider tips about the 3D Fiber Lashes to make application a bit easier. In the instructions, it says to use your own mascara first, this is not required, just a personal choice. You can only apply the gel and fibers and still get results.
Here are some more tips from Ashley:
- Start with one eye first
- Use one coat of gel, apply lightly
- Really quickly, before gel dries, add the fibers
- Add another coat of gel to seal the fibers and keep them from flaking off onto your face
- Go back with a Q-tip to clean up around the eye
- Use a straight pen or eyelash brush to straighten the fibers out
After reading the included instructions and Ashley's tips, I was set to go.
Here is my base, no makeup starting point.
(Sorry about the closeness of the photos)
After one coat of my personal mascara choice
Next I applied the transplanting gel, this is NOT mascara, this is gel to hold on the fibers.
The first steps are fairy easy, not much you can mess up. Now the tricky part is not making a huge mess while applying the fibers. You still apply like you would with a mascara wand.
(Not my picture, just gives a visual of the fibers)
After one layer of fibers, you can do more than one, totally up to you.
What a difference I could notice in just one layer of fibers!
The more layers of fibers, the thicker and fuller it will look.
Overall, I was impressed with the Younique 3D Fiber and will continue to use them. I was sure that my experience with them would be like all the other mascara claims I have seen, but not true. These 3D Fiber Lashes are the real deal. They are fairly easy to apply once you know what you are doing, are long lasting (wash off with cleanser and warm water), and really make your eyes pop.
