My best friend is getting married in October. I was thrilled when she asked me to be her Matron of Honor. I can't wait to stand beside her on her special day, just as she stood beside me on mine. When she told me that she and her fiance were thinking about a destination wedding, but weren't sure where they wanted to get married, I wondered what type of bridesmaid dress I might wind up wearing? The couple mentioned getting married at a castle in Ireland, or perhaps taking a wedding cruise to the tropics, and have even mentioned a wedding in New Orleans, LA!
I wanted to have some dress options already picked out, ready to present to my friend. She has never been an over the top gal, wanting a lot of fanfare and so on. I am thinking that I will need a special occasion dress that is pretty, classy, and simple.
I found a great selection of beautiful special occasion dresses at Topswedding.com. They have a huge selection of wedding gowns, prom dresses, accessories, and more! I was so pleased to find that they also had a beautiful collection of wedding party dresses, and was eager to look through them. I was able to quickly and easily browse by style, color, and price. We haven't really talked colors, and she may not really have a preference, so I am just sort of going with the colors that I am drawn to for an October wedding.
Burgundy Short Sleeved V-Neck Dress

Plum Bridesmaid Dress with Ruffles
V-Neck with Rosette
I know that my friend is leaning toward the New Orleans wedding destination, and there are a lot of things to take into consideration. I need to find a flattering bridesmaid dress that will be cute, comfy, and hopefully one that I will be able to wear again in the future. I have a feeling that the wedding ceremony may take place outdoors, and I heard my friend mention the possibility of having a traditional New Orleans wedding parade through the streets. My goal is to go with a dress that I will look and feel beautiful in, as well as be comfotable in, walking through the streets of New Orleans!
I love how wedding style has changed, and wedding day looks can be super casual, or super glam. My personal style lies somewhere in the middle, and I'm so glad that Topswedding has so many classy special occasion dresses to choose from. I can't wait to share my top picks with my friend, the beautiful bride to be, and get her opinion! I'm going to share Topswedding with our Cousin L, who will soon be looking for a prom dress!

These are all beautiful! My daughter had almost the same exact dress in her wedding as the Chocolate Satin but in the color Kiwi since it was a spring wedding. They were very pretty.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great write-up! I love the dresses you chose. Jackie
ReplyDeleteI highly recommend this place if you are thinking about to find a place for your wedding. We had our wedding party yesterday at Chicago Wedding Venues and it was such a wonderful event. The ceremony site is classy, the dining area is amazing, and the view is just icing on the cake.
ReplyDeleteAll the wedding gowns are looking awesome!!!
