We're well into January, and I am already regretting some the decisions I made over the holidays. Our schedules were so scattered, routines inconsistent and poorly managed, and now I am reaping the rewards. I did the same things most everyone else does during the holidays- ate too many sweets, drank too many glasses of wine (ahem- sugar overload), and became too busy to keep up with my workouts. I know better, and because I like to be dressed for the day, even if I have no plans to be anywhere, it's all too easy for me to say, 'Well, I got all dressed up and I don't want to change my clothes.' Seriously? Yeah- that's often my story.
To get myself back on track, I am following a fitness challenge (self-issued), and then I am participating in a daily walk challenge with my church (20 minutes of activity a day = 1 mile walked). I have a 'no excuses' motto this year- I am exercising every day, for at least 20 - 30 minutes... no excuses! Part of my exercise plan, is taking advantage of the warm days we have, and getting back outside to play with my son!
Just a few days before Christmas, I received the opportunity to try out a new pair of Therafit Shoes, from the Therafit Holiday Collection. All of us gals here at MBP are big, big fans of Therafit Shoes! We have previously reviewed their beautiful sandals, sneakers, Mary Janes, and this time, I was offered the chance to check out the lovely Rio Ballet Flat.
Therafit is pretty special. They have created both fashionable and comfortable shoes that women can feel good about wearing all day long. Therafit was co-Developed by Dr. Lisa Masterson (you may know her from NBC's The Doctors). I love Dr. Lisa, and I trust anything that she places her seal of approval on. Therafit believes in empowering women to embrace wellness in all aspects of their lives. Combining fashion with comfort gives women a solid foundation, both at work and at play.
I was excited to receive a brand new pair of Therafit Shoes- what a great Christmas present!
My Therafit Shoes arrived in a pretty pink and purple shoebox, with the Therafit logo front and center. I couldn't wait to open the box up and take a look at my new shoes. The Rio Flats are available in three colors, and I chose gray, rather than tan or black. I only own one pair pf gray shoes, and they are cute, but offer no support, whatsoever. It was a no-brainer decision for me.
My Therafit box contained a whole bunch of goodies!
Therafit includes a reusable tote and product information card with every Therafit purchase.
I really love that Therafit take the time to educate the consumer about their products, explaining hoe Therafit shoes are made, and why they're different, as well as why they're so beneficial. The reusable tote bag is cute and stylish, and totally practical. They're perfect for toting your Therafit shoes from point A to point B, of for whatever else you may want to use it for. Since they're not huge bags, I actually use mine for toting percussion intruments to my music classes on Wednesday afternoons!
My Rio Ballet Flats by Therafit were wrapped in Therafit tissue paper, so it truly did feel like I was opening up a present when I went to remove the shoes from their box.
The big reveal- my new Therafit Rio Ballet Flats in Gray. How cute are these!?
I have a whole lot to share with you about the Rio Ballet Flats. First off, I absolutely love the color I chose. The gray is a soft gray. I love gray, because gray goes with everything- even black and brown. The style combines both a stylish flat that you'd wear with an everyday ensemble, with the support of your favorite pair of sneakers! Oh yes, it's a stylish two-in-one deal!
The Rio Ballet Flats have some very special detailing on them...
I love the beautiful stitching/embroidery on the Rio Ballet Flats. They add a pretty and delicate touch to these, and make them all the more wearable. Take one look inside of the flat, and you'll immediately notice the extra cushioning and support. Therafit shoes offer seven layers of protection for your precious tootsies!
The bottom of the Rio Ballet Flat looks like the bottom of a sneaker, offering ultra support and comfort.
My Therafit Rio Ballet Flats are the only flats that I own that aren't 'flat.' These are arched, and supportive. The shoe follows and supports the curves in my foot. These can be worn with or without socks, either way, you'll be quite comfortable. There is an awesome tread on the bottom of these flats. I don't have to worry about slipping and falling when I wear my Therafits. I know that they won't let me go sliding on a wet floor, and will grip the ground outside.
I first wore the Rio Ballet Flats with socks (because it has been pretty cold here in NC).
Wearing a thin sock was very comfortable for me, even though the shoes were new. I got them in a 7 1/2, and still had room for a sock, and a nice fit for walking.
Don't you just love the snazzy, smart design on these? There is even a small reflective strip on each heel! I love that this shoe really does combine the look of a flat with the benefits of a sneaker. The heel of the Therafit shoes (and this goes for all Therafit shoes and sandals), has an adjustable support system. There are three little nodes that can be removed, one at a time, to adjust the support. I love the firm support they offer, so I just leave them in. You can remove one, two, or all three, if you like.
I have also worn the Rio Ballet Flats without socks, comfotably.
I have already worn my Rio Ballet Flats many times. I love being able to slip them on and head outside for a quick game of soccer with my son, or being able to put them on for a quick walk with the family. If I have a full day of shopping planned, Therafits are my go-to shoes. They keep me comfortable all day long. I can't wait to wear these when we take a trip to the mountains this fall!
Above, I paired the Therafit Rio Ballet Flats with a pair of skinny jeans, tank, gray sweater, and multi-colored scarf. When I wore this outfit, I received a ton of compliments, and when I wore it to my Women's Ensemble rehearsal at church on a recent Sunday afternoon, pretty much every woman in my choral group asked me about my shoes. I was so excited to tell the ladies about Therafit! They loved the design, and loved the idea of these shoes even more, after I explained their benefits, and how they relieve pressure on my bad knee when I wear them.
So cute, preppy and practical!
I love my Rio Ballet Flats from Therafit. I was really unsure whether or not I would like a flat/sneaker style combo shoe (my husband has been begging me to wear a supportive style flat for years!). I refused to buy a flat style walking shoe previously, because I couldn't find a pair that were still stylish (to me). The Rio Ballet flats have truly exceeded my style expectations, and they provided the comfort and support I have come to know and expect fromTherafit shoes.
