"Just imagine how much cooler I'll be in summer!" It's hard to think about summer right now because we're in the dead of winter but when the windchill makes it feel like its -25 thats all I want to think of.
In honor of summer, todays day trip post is all about one of the coolest places in the Northwest Indiana area, Deep River Waterpark. With the National Lakeshore less than 30mins from basically anywhere in NWI it seems silly to go to a water park but trust me, this one is worth it!
Open May 24-Labor Day. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. daily Deep River has a special water feature for everyone.

| This is the HUGE wave pool. Its nice to just sit in the shallow end and let the waves wash over your feet, or get adventurous and head to the deep end for a rockin ride! |

| I don't know what these are really called but we call them the toilet bowls because you basically get flushed. They are super fun and addicting. |

Deep River Waterpark is 25 acres of spalshtastic family fun! Located on Highway 30 between Valparaiso and Merrillville, only 45 minutes from Chicago, Deep River is affordable family fun that everyone can enjoy. Hope to see you there!

Wow!! This really looks like a fun place to go and so much to see and do-- We really dont have any thing such as this in our area in S. Idaho-- Thanks I want to go there for more than a day trip
