This Week's Family Meal Plan: Tasty Tuesdays


Hey gang, O here, ready to share with you my family's weekly meal plan for the week of February 9 - 15. This week is going to be sor of wonky. Hubby is playing a concert this weekend, which means that he has rehearsals three nights this week, and then will also be out the night of the concert. When we have weeks like this, I try to make our meal plans as simple as possible. I make extra portions, so I can enjoy leftovers, without having to cook meals for just myself. If you have a picky eater like I do, I've included what my plain loving boy will be eating this week, as well.

Here's a sample menu for this week:


Monday- Breakfast for Dinner
-Pancakes
-Scrambled Eggs
-Bacon
*B will eat the pancakes and bacon.

Tuesday- Hamburger Stroganoff
-Ground Beef Stroganoff
-Egg Noodles
-Steamed Broccoli
*B eats plain noodles, garlic bread, and fruit or yogurt.


Wednesday- Turkey Burgers
-Pre-made Turkey Burger Patties from Trader Joe's
-Buns and fixings
-Oven Rosted Mini Potatoes with Rosemary
*B will have mac and cheese, with fruit.

Thursday- Chicken Fajitas
*Side note- I will be making the fajita chicken in the crock pot, because I also have to be at a rehearsal on Thursday night, and won't be home until after 7 pm.
-Grilled Chicken
-Peppers and Onions
-Salsa, cheese, sour cream, lettuce
-Tortillas
-Beans on the side
*B will eat plain rice, and a cheese roll-up with fruit on the side


Friday- Pork
-Panko Crusted Pork Tenderloin Cutlets
-Mashed Potatoes
-Sauteed Zucchini
-Applesauce
*B will eat the pork if it is in little breaded pieces, so he'll have that with  Hidden Veggie plain noodles and fruit.

Saturday- Homemade Pizza
-Homemade Pizza Dough
-Homemade Sauce
-Individual Pizzas with different toppings


Sunday- Mandarin Orange Chicken
-Orange Chicken from Trader Joe's (Frozen)
-White Rice
-Steamed Broccoli
*We leave some of the chicken pieces plain for B, and he eats that with the rice, and some fruit.

So there you have it- a few simple ideas for dinner this week. Normally, we eat a little better than this, but I have to do what works for my family, and our busy schedule.
