The weekend has arrived, and while I'm really excited to be with my entire family for 2 whole days, I am worried that I might end up losing my mind!
It's supposed to snow again today, and honestly, I'm totally freaking irritated a little less than happy about it. Snow and the freezing cold temperatures make it impossible for us to do very many outdoor activities. Do you know what happens when kids are kept inside? I'll tell you... it's like slightly more polite Tasmanian devils have rampaged through every room of your house. It's like an episode of the Twilight Zone, where every time you clean one mess, three more appear in its place.
It's like... THE WORST THING EVER!!!!
Okay, so I'm probably making a bigger deal out of it than necessary. But honestly, I feel like it's snowed every weekend of 2015 and this Mom and her family are totally ready for lots of warmth, sunshine, green grass, and flowers!
The good news is that I have a few tricks up my sleeve to keep us busy this weekend. Before the snow starts, we are heading to the library to return the books we picked up last time and grab a few new ones. We might even do a little scavenger hunt to see if we can find all of the artwork submitted by Drew's classmates!

Last weekend we did a cool Dancing Conversation Hearts experiment using clear soda and (as you can probably guess) conversation hearts. On Monday, we modified it a bit and tried it again since Drew was home from school. This weekend I'd like to the Self-Freezing Soda experiment we saw floating around Facebook. Speaking of things floating around on Facebook, this Impossible Coconut Custard Pie was making the rounds and I'm pretty sure we have to make it this weekend too.
