Beat Barefeet with Ja-Vie {Review and Giveaway} #javie #betterthanbarefeet

I'm not going to lie, I love shoes, but I rarely wear them. I am someone who loves to be in her bare feet at pretty much any time of the day. I wear flip flops most days, even when the weather is cool, and do not wear socks except when I am running.

I know this isn't very healthy or safe for my feet. I constantly step on things, get blisters, and offer my feet zero support. I love when I find something that is comfortable and cute, that I actually want to keep on my feet, like this next company.

Ja-Vie, is the creation of husband and wife team, Natalie and Eric and named after their two children, Javier and Viera. Natalie experienced a very rough and difficult delivery of her first child, and could not walk for several months after, because of pelvic bone separation. While she was in severe pain, she and Eric took the opportunity to create something that was more comfortable to walk in, that still had to be fashionable.

For the next two years, Eric and Natalie developed a prototype shoe that consisted of a "sock" with lightweight jelly outsoles and cushioned leather insoles. The result is a stylish ballet flat that is flexible, supportive, and looks fashionable too. With a fantastic leadership and advisory board that includes top executives from Coach, they are well on their way to providing some amazing shoes.

I worked with Kyra, who is also co-owner of Ja-Vie. Kyra was excited to partner with MBP and have us try out and share what Ja-Vie is all about. She offered me a choice of shoe and also offered a pair to giveaway (so don't forget to enter below).

Kyra let me know that they recently launched their Spring/Summer line, so there were some brand new options. I went and started browsing right away and a few different styles really stuck out to me. Here were some of my top picks:

Kyra also let me know that Ja-Vie shoes come in whole sizes 35-41, which are sizes 5-11. They also suggest if you are a half size or have wider feet, to size up. Here is a helpful sizing chart from Ja-Vie to get the right fit. I am somewhere between and 8-8.5, so I went with a 39 to be on the safe side. I couldn't wait to try them out!

Ja-Vie flats are machine washable with the following instructions:

Remove the leather insoles
Place the shoes in a laundry bag and launder in cold setting
Remove the shoe and line dry
When shoes are dry, re-insert the leather insoles

We finally got to our goodies, the Ja-Vie Black/White Baby Dot Flats!

They are so cute and come secured with a black stretchy band.

Just like you would get at a shoe store, the shoe shaper and paper stuffing still inside to keep the perfect shape during shipping.

The Black/White Baby Dot Flats retail for $68. They are made of a super soft cotton knit sock, the lightweight jelly outsole, and cushioned leather insoles. They are a dark black with small white polka dots, great for any season warm or cold and have a gray insole. The insole has support in the heel, arch, and ball of the feet.

These shoes are so comfortable and so cute, I just love them. I really feel like I am wearing a cotton sock with just a little more shape and support to it. The leather insole is well padded and offers extra soft cushioned steps too.

I can wear these shoes with pretty much any outfit, casual or dressy, and wear them all day. My favorite pairing is dark skinny jeans and a top or even black leggings. I can't say enough great things about my Ja-Vie shoes, comfy and cute is definitely the way to go!
