This may seem like a repeat post, but I promise it's a recap of our most recent visit to Madame Tussauds New York!
As you may remember, we
visited the museum with the girls last year, and while we had a great time, I felt very overwhelmed with them in the city. When another opportunity presented itself to visit the museum and check out the new
Jimmy Fallon Figure, we opted to let the girls stay with Matt's parents and invited my sister and brother-in-law to come with us.
For 15 years,
Madame Tussauds New York has given it's guests the opportunity to visit various periods of history and interact with A-list celebrities, sports legends, musicians, and other historical icons. If you are planning a trip to New York, Madame Tussauds is a definite MUST SEE. I've actually taken the trip to New York just for Madame Tussauds, and both times I've enjoyed myself immensely!
Because I like to have an idea of what to expect, and I know from the last visit that each figure is not always on the floor, I visited the website to see what we could expect for this trip. I was excited that one of my favorite movie characters, E.T., was added to the museum, and I couldn't wait to get my picture taken in the iconic "bike scene".

When we got to Madame Tussauds, things were set up a little differently than our last visit. If memory serves (and sometimes it doesn't) last year we were "greeted" by Bruce Willis, but this visit we were welcomed by King Kong!

Just like our visit last year, we were not able to get pictures with every celebrity. I was very excited to get pictures with some of the figures that were new this visit (the Jimmy Fallon exhibit was so great!) and a little disappointed that one of my favorites from last year was not present (no Thor on this trip, but Captain America was there and he wasn't last year).

During this visit I found something that I hadn't noticed on our last visit. There were a bunch of plaques hanging with the hand prints and autographs of some awesome people including Joan Rivers and my favorite Michael Jackson! It was great to see how my hand measured up the hands of some pretty awesome people.

Just like last year, we had a blast at
Madame Tussauds New York. I can't wait to plan another visit and see which celebrities we get to "meet" the next time! I would definitely recommend stopping here if you are planning a trip to New York or even if you live anywhere nearby!
