Fabulous and Free in UjENA Swimwear + Electric Coral Tankini #Giveaway ($125.00 RV)

My family just returned from a fun-filled week at the beach. We like to take our family beach vacation early in the season, before the beach house prices skyrocket, and before the beaches are too crowded. This year, we rented an ocean front home for a week, and had such a fabulous time! I didn't want to leave the beach to come back home, but I have high hopes that we'll see the ocean again before the end of the season.

For this beach trip, I wanted to try tankini bathing suits out. I've never really had one before, but I felt that I might want a couple, as I figured they would keep me most comfortable when playing games out on the beach, going for walks, etc. When I look for swim suits, I look for something modest, but fun, with a bit of sas- it's for the beach, after all.

I was able to connect with the fabulous Trisha, over at UjENA Swimwear. I could definitely see myself in a UjENA suit on our next family cruise! I wanted to go with something fun, yet modest, so I looked for a full coverage tankini in a bright color. When I spotted the Electric Coral Open-Back Tankini, I could see myself wearing it out on the beach. I was drawn to the coral color, because my bathing suits are mainly blue and black, so I definitely needed something colorful. I also loved the design, which looked both comfy and cute!

When my package from UjENA arrived, I couldn't wait to open it up!

I loved the way my suit was all wrapped up in sassy animal print tissue paper, and a fabric bow!

The UjENA tag was also super adorable!

As I removed the suit from the package, I was truly excited to see the coral colored fabric peeking through the clear plastic wrap. Each piece of the suit- top and bottom, were individually wrapped and packaged. The size that I chose was clearly labeled on the front of each package, so I knew that I was receiving what I asked for.

As I unwrapped the suit and laid it out, I was just excited! I couldn't wait to actually get to the beach and wear this cute suit! I loved the little details, and the open back design. I also loved the color, and knew it would be perfect to mix and match with some of my other suit pieces, and beach accessories!

I had a feeling that the bottom might be a bit too snug for my bum. I did try it on once we got to the beach, and it did fit, but it fit a little too snugly for my comfort out on the beach. I should have gone up one size on the bottom, as I tend to carry a little extra in the hips and thighs... however, hubby and I are starting the South Beach Diet in a couple of weeks, and I aim to fit into these bottoms comfortably before we head to the coast again (Jersey Shore in August!). I easily swapped the bottoms out for a turquoise blue bottom that I already owned, and it actually worked really well. It created a super cute ensemble for the beach.

My UjENA Electric Coral Tankini was a perfect match with my favorite sun hat! This is me, with my sister-in-law, Rachel.

I was so truly comfortable in the tank. It has such a nice silhouette- it fits around the neck and chest, and then just drapes and flows... it's really beautiful!

Everyone I was at the beach with last week, loved the look of the Electric Coral Tank by UjENA- the open back concept was just so much fun. It was modest, yet fun and sassy, and I never once felt like I was going to lose my top, even when I went out into the water for a dip. The top actually kept me cool. It was hot out on the beach, with little to no breeze. With my back exposed, I was cool and comfy. I also loved the front coverage. We played quite a few round of boccie ball, Frisbee, splash ball, built sand castles, etc. I was comfortable digging in the sand with my four-year-old, and tossing the boccie balls around on the beach, and never once felt self-conscious about the dreaded baby pooch that just won't go away.

I felt so pretty in this suit- I wore it multiple times during our beach week!

The open back is such a fun design! This may not be the best picture, as I was a little disheveled from playing out on the beach, but it gives you an idea.

The Electric Coral Tankini was fairly fast-drying, and I liked that it didn't cling to me too much when it got wet. I did notice that the first time it got wet (my son sprayed me with water from his water blaster), it left streaks on the fabric where the water sprayed, until I submerged the entire tankini in water- after that, the streaks went away. Just a heads up, in case that happens to you!
