Making Time to Exercise #FitnessFriday

It's funny that I am going to tell someone else about fitness!!  I am very good at finding excuses not to exercise!  I don't like it...not one bit!  I don't see how anyone enjoys it.  Believe me, I wish I did enjoy it because it would be a lot easier for me to do it!  But, I do know how important it so and I am trying to make it more of a priority in my life.

I have spent most of my life being overweight.  I always wanted to lose weight but never got around to it.  Even being overweight I always had lots of friends.  I was never picked on...at least not to my face.  So I grew up dealing with it.  I did loose over 100 lbs. about 10 years ago but have since gained about half of it back.  I know that if I put my mind to it I can do it again.  I need to do it.  I have a 6 year old that needs me to do it!

So, I have started yet again trying to get healthy.  I'm not going to promise that I will loose a lot of weight but for the past 2 months I have been eating healthier and feeding my family healthier.  I have started slow with the exercise.  My friend and I have started walking/running and we are up to a mile.  It is so hard to work it into our schedule but I know that it is so important to make time for it.  I really struggle with that.  We started very slow.  Here is our workout that we have started.  We walk for 5 minutes, jog for 1 minute, walk for 2 minutes, jog for 1 minute, walk for 2 minutes, and so on.  When  I say jog, I mean very slow jog.  But, we are moving and that's better than not doing anything at all.

Make time for you!!  Take it slow!! Any exercise that you choose to do is better than the choice not to do anything.  Find a buddy...that makes it a little easier.
