My husband is one of those dapper guys who would rather be in a suit or a tux than everyday clothes. By trade, hubby is a classically trained musician, and dressing up for events and concerts is just part of his job (thank goodness he loves it). Since my hubby has to dress up for work, and still likes to dress up when we go out, I like to see him in something different every now and then. He is extremely particular about what he wears, so not just any old tie or pair of cuffl links will do for this man.

When I noticed a very unique bow tie available from Wendell August, I knew my husband would get a kick out of it, and would appreciate such a thoughtful gift. Wendell August has been sharing their beautifully hand-crafted products since 1923. Many of Wendell August's gorgeous gift items can be personalized with a message or monogram, so I decided that it would be nice to add my husband's initials to his special Father's Day gift.

For my husband, I selected the Monet Bow Tie, a lightweight aluminum bow tie, personalized with his initials.

I didn't tell my husband anything about this gift beforehand. I wanted him to be totally surprised, and boy, was he ever! Sacha loves bow ties, and I agree with him that they're very classy and sharp-looking. The Monet Bow Tie by Wendell August, however is something so different, it's bound to catch people's eyes, and become a topic of conversation.

As I lifted the Monet Bow Tie from its box, I noticed its beautiful craftsmanship.

The lightweight aluminum bow tie is so cool! I love the lines in the tie, as they're made to look like fabric wrinkles. Sacha's monogram turned out perfectly, as well. He was so pleased and surprised when I handed him this truly unique bow tie. He said that he'd never seen anything like it, and couldn't wait to wear it and show it off!

The bow tie is fully adjustable, and much easier to wear than a real bow tie!

Our little munchkin couldn't wait to try the Monet Bow Tie on for himself!

B thought the Monet Bow Tie was the bees knees, and asked if they made them for boys? Wouldn't a father/son set be adorable!?
