At age four, my son is wanting his independence more and more each day. It's sort of bittersweet- I want him to discover his independence, but at the same time, I still want him to need me. I am glad for, however, the fact that he can dress himself. B even likes to be involved in selecting the outfits we lay out for the week. Along with wanting to dress himself, he also likes to select add-ons to his outfits, such as hats, belts, and ties. B is in between sizes, and is tall/broad for his age. I always buy a couple of sizes up in his shirts and pants, so he has a little growing room. Sometimes, a children's belt is needed, but kids and belt buckles just don't make a good mix.

With Myself Belts, kids can add fun belts to their outfits, and fasten the belts themselves! Myself Belts were created by two sisters- Talia and Danielle. Talia watched her toddler son struggle to keep his pants up by the end of the day, after pulling his pants down to use the potty so much. The waist around the pants became stretched out. Talia and Danielle researched children's belts, but found that most were just mini versions of adult belts, which children couldn't use by themselves- especially not in critical moments, when nature was calling. The two sisters tinkered with ideas and designs, and eventually found the perfect solution for a belt that kids could use themselves. Thus, Myself Belts were born! The child-friendly belts with cute designs have grown and been so well accepted, that Myself Belts now offers adult versions of the belts, which are wonderful for those with hand dexterity issues or other limitations.

We were so thrilled for the opportunity to try out Myself Belts. We've been looking for belts for B, and I have tried to keep in mind that he goes to school, and will need something that he can use by himself. Myself Belts seemed like the perfect choice!

Myself Belts offers so many cool designs for boys and girls. We chose the Pirate design (because B love to play Pirates, and we thought it was a fun design for summertime).

We ordered the child's XL size for B. He wears between a size 6/7, so we wanted to be sure that the belt would fit in the waist. I wish that we had gone up one size to the 7/8, which would have offered B a little bit more room.

Myself Belts Size Chart

Our belts came attached to a size chart, and came with an info card.

Each belt has a snap, and a Velcro closure. The snap keeps the belt attached to the pants.

The Velcro closure allows your child to use the belt by themselves.

The product packaging also has instructions for use right on it.
