Host a Red Hot Bachelorette Girls Night with Supplies from Oriental Trading Co.

Thank you to Oriental Trading Co. for providing me with product, free of charge, in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions shared are my own.

My best friend in the world is getting married in New Orleans this October. We live in NC/SC, and so do most of the bride's friends and family members. My gal pal Veronica and I have been Besties since we were in high school, so when she asked me to be her Matron of Honor, I was stoked! I love weddings, and love events and parties. I knew that I would have the opportunity to throw her a Bachelorette Party, and probably help throw a bridal shower, as well. I couldn't wait to get started.

Every bride-to-be has their own ideas about their pre-wedding festivities. I remember my showers like they happened yesterday, and yes, I had my own ideas as to what I wanted for each one. Veronica is no different. She had a specific idea in mind for her Bachelorette party- a Bachelorette Weekend in the NC mountains!

Veronica had some specifics on her list for the weekend:
Rent a house or cabin in the mountains for Friday and Saturday night.
Lingerie Shower on Friday night.
PJ party and crafts on Friday night.
Keep it simple, fun, and modest.
Small number of girls.
Breakfast in Asheville and River Tubing on Saturday.
Dinner and drinks out in Asheville on Saturday night.

I wasn't going to be able to be with the girls on Saturday night, due to my Sunday morning worship leading responsibilities at home. So, I wanted to make Friday night a lot of fun for the girls who were able to join us for this fun weekend. We would need to bring all of our own party decorations with us to the cabin for the weekend, so I headed to my old standby for party decor and supplies- Oriental Trading Co.

Oriental Trading Co. has party and event supplies for every occasion- including Bachelorette party supplies. However, Veronica had that list of specifics, and she really didn't want pink party supplies, so I had to get a bit creative.

I picked up foam project board and chalk markers from a local craft store, and make a chalkboard sign for all of the girls to sign and write notes on for the bride-to-be.

We decided on a Red Hot Bachelorette theme for the weekend. Vern and I both love to get crafty, so I knew she would appreciate my efforts!

We needed some party drink ware, appropriate for wine and champagne. I found this set of clear plastic wine glasses at Oriental Trading Co.

The plastic wine glasses looked very nice, all on their own. They came in a case of 25, and they had to be assembled. I washed them, and then got the idea to coat the bottoms of the glasses with red glitter to add a little sparkle! My four-year-old son actually helped me with this project.

We coated the bottoms of the drink ware with craft glue, and then dipped them in red glitter.

The glasses turned out beautifully!

All of the girls were excited to toast the bride-to-be at the cabin, using these adorable red hot wine glasses!

When we arrived at the cabin, it was all hands on deck to get the place decorated. All of the gals pitched in, and helped to hang bachelorette decor and make it a fun and inviting space for our best gal, Vern!

I found an adorable LOVE Banner at Oriental Trading Co., and we decided to hang it from the fireplace, to display by the gifts, and favor bags.

What I love about the LOVE Banner, is that it can easily do double or triple duty of other events- weddings, anniversaries, baby showers, etc! It was a great find, and Vern loved it!

Remember those red tissue poms I used for my sister-in-law's baby shower in July?

We hung the tissue poms all over the cabin, and they looked so great with all of the other banners we had for the weekend!

I was so excited that I was able to re- purpose the red tissue poms from Rachel's baby shower. The August bachelorette weekend was using the same red theme, so it just made sense to re-use these cute and sassy decorations! The great thing about the tissue poms, is that they are appropriate for all types of events. I plan on donating them to our Weekday Church School program, so they can use them for their superhero themed weekly kids program this school year.

I wanted to make a cute little favor for all of the girls in attendance for the special weekend, so I used some cute little Red Organza Favor Bags from Oriental Trading Co., and filled them up with goodies!

I used lip balm sticks from Mod Party, and red, white and black hair ties to fill the favor bags. The girls absolutely loved the goodies, and thought it was such a cute idea. I used the hair ties with a little 'To have and to hold your hair back' slip of paper inside of the bags.

I found a super cute Last Fling Before the Ring printable, and printed those out on card stock.

I attached a little tag to each favor bag, and the girls loved them!

Party game- Bra Pong!

We played a couple of super fun party games on Friday night. I had a girlfriend of ours put together a board for a game of Bra Pong. I asked each of the ladies attending for Friday night to bring a cute bra to pin to the board. The bride-to-be had to guess which bra belonged to which girlfriend, which was fun! After she took turns guessing, we lined up behind a piece of tape on the floor, and each girl took a turn trying to get a little plastic ball to land into one of the bra cups. Some girls played with wine, and others opted not to- either way, it was hilarious, and lots of fun!

We enjoyed snacks, while Vern opened up her lingerie shower gifts.

Bachelorette Night Craft

Veronica had a cute idea to have all of the gals get into their PJs, pop some popcorn, and work on a cute craft. Her idea was to have the girls make their own Mardi Gras type masks to wear on Saturday night, when they went out for drinks after dinner.

Oriental Trading Co. had lots of cute craft supplies for us to choose from, so I opted for plain DIY  shaped masks, self-adhesive jewels, and colorful feathers to use as decorations.

We know how to have fun, but none of us are wild girls. Most of us are already married, some of us have kids, etc. We wanted a low key evening, and wanted to maintain our modesty. Working on crafts until 2 am was a fun way for us to spend time with the bride-to-be, doing something that she loves to do- get crafty!

All of the girls got into the spirit of mask making!

We used paints, glue, glitter, feathers, and jewels to decorate our masks!

All of the masks turned out great!

We let the masks dry, and then the girls wore them when they went out on Saturday night!

Another pretty mask design for Saturday night!

Veronica had a blast on Friday night!

On Saturday morning, we had coffee at the cabin, and then headed out for breakfast at Biscuithead in Asheville, NC!

We enjoyed a yummy breakfast, and then spent about 3 hours floating down the French Broad River. It was so relaxing, and we got to chat with one another, and hear all about the wedding plans! On Saturday night, I had to head home, but I did leave a few more treats for the girls to enjoy for their night out!

The girls out on Saturday night with their masks, beads, and wedding ring shot glasses in tow!

I left the girls with a Bachelorette party scavenger hunt game, bachelorette party temporary tattoos, mardi gras beads, and wedding ring shot glasses! The shot glasses and party beads were  also from Oriental Trading Co. I was bummed that I wasn't able to go out with the girls on Saturday night, but I know they had a blast!

This was my very first experience with throwing a bachelorette bash. As it turned out, I was glad that Vern had her own ideas and wishes for her special weekend... it made planning it a lot easier! It was also awesome to be able to find a lot of the items on her weekend wish list at Oriental Trading Co. They have such a great selection of craft supplies and bachelorette party supplies, and that made prep and shopping for this event a breeze!
