~Part of the MBP 2015-16 Maternity & Newborn Guide~
It's hard for me to believe how quickly this pregnancy is passing by. When I was pregnant for the first time, the pregnancy seemed to last forever, and I loved every minute of it. This time around, life is much busier, and in five short weeks, we'll be at the half way point. When planning for a major event, I tend to think that I have all the time in the world, when in reality, that time is just slipping by with each passing day. To get myself ready for our new little bundle of joy, I have been researching tons of baby products, because there are a lot of new products that have come onto the scene in the past five years.
One of the best ways to see and sample what's new in baby land, is to sign up for Baby Pallet. Baby Pallet is a unique monthly subscription box service, which sends you 6-7 baby products/samples each month, for $29.00/month. 10% of Baby Pallet profits go to ChildFund International, so when you purchase a Baby Pallet subsciption for yourself, or to give as a gift, you're making a big difference in the lives of children around the world.
I was offered the opportunity to try out Baby Pallet for myself, and couldn't wait to see what would be included in the October Pallet!
My Baby Pallet came nicely boxed, and contained items wrapped in tissue paper, with cute little paper curls for an added pop of color. B was excited to help me open the pallet when I told him that the items were for his little baby brother or sister.
Check out all of the goodies we received in the October Pallet!
Our October Baby Pallet included seven different items, mostly appropriate for ages 6 mo+. I am of the opinion that receiving items appropriate for different age levels is fantastic. They sure don't stay newborns for long! B and I were intrigued by these goodies, and were eager to take a look at them all- one by one.
First up, Yummi Pouch (3 included).
Yummi Pouch is such a great product. B absolutely loved squeeze pouches of fruit and veggies when he was little, and they've certainly become a hot commodity, but can be pretty pricey. Plus, there have been so many pouch recalls lately, due to mold that I just can't bring myself to buy them anymore. I plan to make a lot of my own baby food this time around, and with Yummi Pouch, I can easily transfer the food to the pouch, seal it, and then store it. I'll know exactly what's in that pouch, and know that the food is safe. Yummi Pouch makes feeding your baby safe and convenient. Plus, they're reusable, so they are super eco-friendly! Yummi Pouch is a Red Tricycle Award Winner, and retails for around $6.00.
We also received the Neatcheeks natural travel face wipes.
I am excited to try the Neatcheeks wipes, and they're great for kids of all ages. B still makes a big mess all over his adorable face when he eats things like ice cream or chocolate, so these are perfect to toss into your purse, or the diaper bag and take with you on the go. I'll probably even keep some in the car at all times! Neatcheeks retail for about $4.00.
The Sippin' Smart Juice Box Holder from Innobaby
The Sippin Smart Juice Box Holder is such a life-saver! When B first began drinking from a juice pouch or box, hubby and I cringed everytime there was a squeeze accident in the car. We have tan cloth seats, so you can image how hard it is to remove stains. This product works well with juice or milk boxes/pouches, giving your child handles to hold onto. I can't tell you how many times juice pouches have been dropped in the car, leading to frustration. This product even works with bottles and small cups! The Sippin Smart Juice Box Holder retails for about $6.00.
Earth Mama Angel Baby Body Wash & Shampoo
Earth Mama Angel Baby is one of my personal favorite baby product brands. Their products have all been formulateby a nurse and herbologist, are toxin free, and hospital recommended. They are made without fagrance, dye, parabens or harsh sulfates. B had and still has sensitive skin, so I wouldn't be surprised if baby does, too. I am so glad to have this on hand for those first baths at home when baby arrives! The Earth Mama Angel Baby Body Wash & Shampoo retails for about $4.99.
Amara Organic Food
I am paying much closer attention to what my family eats these days. Amara is a yummy dried food for kiddos on the go! It's healthy, with no additives. This is great for babies of all ages. You simply mix in some breast milk, formula, water, etc- until you reach the proper consistency. It has a fresh fruit taste, which kids and adults love! We're all about healthy snacks on the go- and this is one of those that is quick and easy to prepare, no matter where you are. Amara Organic Foods retail for about $11.00.
Green Sprouts Stacking Cups
What baby doesn't love a set of stacking cups? I still remember B's first set of stacking cups, and how he loved to play with them. Today, he still plays with them in the tub, or with his kitchen set. They are perfect for exploration and development as baby grows. They are brightly colored, and different sizes, which are easy for baby to grasp. These cups have small drain holes in the bottoms, which make them perfect for bathtime fun! The Stacking Cups retail for around $6.00.
The total retail value of our October Baby Pallet was $38.74- the value outweighs the cost of the box, so you're getting what you paid for, and then some! It's definitely worth trying, especially if you're wanting to get a good sense of what's new in baby product land. New parent in your life? Why not surprise them with a Baby Pallet of their own? Baby Pallet makes a great gift!
