Tonight is our annual bowling Christmas pot luck so I will be munching on a variety of tasty treats from our fellow bowlers. Im bringing one of my favorite dips: corn beef, cream cheese, worsteshershire sauce, and green onions.

Im working on rereading one of my favorite series The Chronicles Of Narnia. If you've never read them, they are a must. My 4th grade teacher read them to us and Ive been obsessed with them ever since.

Whatcha Been Watching?

Well my favorites The Walking Dead, iZombie, and Modern Family are on mid season break so now its time to catch up on Grimm and Major Crimes. Grimm is starting to get a little eh but Im invested and can't give up at this point. I have to see it through to the end. Other than that Ive been binging on Christmas movies!!!

What I'm Lovin' this Week...

Watching Muppets Christmas Carol with my students. I'm a huge Scrooge/Grinch at Christmas time, I don't know why I just always am so I don't decorate much and Im not one to send out cards. However as much as I despise most things Christmas related, I LOVE Christmas movies. So today in class we had a special movie day where I showed one of my favorites, Muppets Christmas Carol. I always love hearing the kids laugh and they really do learn something.

I am so Done With...

Elf On The Shelf. I curse myself for ever starting it in my classroom. I love coming up with new ideas for him but I always want to make it bigger and better than the last cool thing I did so Im wearing myself out. Im glad to see Thor go!!

I built his hut with snap cubes and his hotdogs are tic tacs.

Silliest Thing this Week...

My mom threatened to come to my house and decorate it with all kinds of awful Christmas decorations if I didn't do something myself. I'm super anal about Christmas decorations, they all have to match, there can't be any colored lights, nothing can flash, and the list goes on and on. I don't decorate much because like I said I'm crazy, and also because I have two cats and a monster dog that all knock everything over no matter where I put it. My mom HATES that I don't decorate so she decided to threaten me this year with horrible decorations if I didn't do something. I put up a small tree and a wreath to satisfy here. Now if my neighbors could just calm their house down a bit Id be a lot happier! Just call me Scrooge.

This makes me want to cry.

What I'm Looking Forward to...

Spending some time with my family for Christmas. As much as I dislike Christmas stuff I love being with my family and seeing my kiddos open their Christmas gifts. Collett is finally old enough to really get into presents too so we'll have 3 crazy monkeys to watch on Christmas day.
