My husband isn't one who is hard to shop for during the holidays. He usually keeps a running wish list of items he'd really love to have... and speakers are always on it. Now, it's important that I tell you that our house is already full of speakers... and we've actually gotten rid of some of them. My husband can't pass up a good deal on speakers! I don't mind the speakers, and I love the sound we get from them. We're musicians, so we love music... and we love to watch movies with surround sound, too. What I don't like are the wires! We rent our home, so it's not like we can tear into the walls to hide the wires. More and more, I have started to convince hubby that wireless speakers are the way to go. I mean, we have a five-year-old and a baby on the way... and wires around the home aren't safe.
When it comes to my hubby and his speakers, not just any speakers will do. He is incredibly particular about brands and their sound, plus their ratings and reviews. He pays attention to those Consumer Reports. He's looking for a good, balanced sound, with amped up bass, and no tin. He loves classical music, so anything that will pick up the frequencies from his super audio discs are a plus.
I am extremely nervous about picking out speakers for my husband. I don't want to get him something that he won't like, so I also rely on those reviews! I was approached by Denon, a well known brand of speakers, and was intrigued by one of their wireless speakers- the HEOS5.
The HEOS5 Wireless Multi Room Sound System
We received a HEOS5 Wireless Multi-room Sound System from Denon. This speaker is no joke! It's sleek, and beautiful! It's large enough to make my hubby happy, and it's sleek enough to make me happy. It's not huge, but it delivers power sound. We have a couple of small wireless speakers that we don't really like- they sound pretty terrible, so I have high hopes for this speaker.

The best part- you can control it from your phone, when you download the HEOS app for Android or iOS!
I'm not gonna lie- I don't know how to set this up, and I would be afraid to try. I really need my husband's help to do that, and his opinion on the sound will be the best review you could hope for. That said, our full review on the HEOS5 will come after Christmas, after we've had a chance to set it up and play with it!

Pretty amazing, right? I can't wait to be able to stream music through the house with the HEOS5! The big decision will be where to place the speaker? I would venture to say our dining room would actually be best, because it's in the middle of the house. I love that the speaker can be placed vertically or horizontally. The reviews I have read of this speaker are fantastic, so I know we'll be pleased with it! Check back soon for our full review.
