I have a confession... I am OBSESSED with Bostonian BBQ Sauce!
Since I purchased my first bottle (which was supposed to be part of a Valentine's Day gift for Matt), I have been trying to find or come up with different recipes for dinner. I googled the ingredients I had on hand... which happened to be the Bostonian (of course), frozen meatballs, and a can of pineapple. I found this recipe from Six Sisters' Stuff and adjusted it ever so slightly.
You will need:
2 cups of your favorite BBQ sauce
30 pre-cooked, frozen meatballs
1 small can of pineapple chunks (I used half of the can pictured here).
Place all ingredients in your slow cooker, cover, and cook on low for about 4 hours. I was able to serve mine in about 3 hours, since my crock pot runs a little warmer than others. If yours does too, be sure to keep an eye on how the meatballs are cooking.
The meatballs would be great served over rice or egg noodles. I actually couldn't decide, so I posted on Facebook and the egg noodles won by a 3-1 vote. It was a delicious meal, but I really do want to try them over rice next time!
