The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles find themselves on the adventure of a lifetime when they accidentally time travel back to the Jurassic Era in Half-Shell Heroes: Blast to the Past. During the 2D-animated special, the Turtles encounter friendly dinosaurs from the past and dangerous aliens from the future who have a nefarious plan of their own. Using their ninja skills and having some fun along the way, the four brothers must find a way to save the day and get back home. This special DVD comes with a fun Nick Bonus Disc (while supplies last) and kicks off the "Year of the Turtle" leading up to the 2016 theatrical release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows!  Created by Nickelodeon and distributed by Paramount Home Media Distribution, this exciting adventure will be available on DVD March 15, 2016 for the suggested retail price of $14.99.

Turtle fans can experience even more dinosaurs with Playmates' popular Half-Shell Heroes toy line.

Our Thoughts...

My little TMNT fan was ecstatic to receive this awesome TMNT Half-Shell Heroes DVD! B love the turtles, and receive a whole bunch of TMNT character toys for Christmas, but has been pretty bummed out that we haven't let him watch the older TMNT show. It's a lot different than it was when we were growing up, and I disapprove of some of the language and situations in the cartoon. The Half-Shell Heroes cartoon is geared toward younger viewers, and I am happy that I can let B watch it, with supervision. 

We were excited to see Leo, Raph, Donny, and Mikey on the TV screen, and to be able to enjoy their adventures from the comfort of our home. TMNT Half-Shell Heroes is an exciting show for younger TMNT fans, and moms can rest easy, knowing that the situations portrayed in the cartoon is suitable for ages 5+. I probably wouldn't let B watch this if he were younger than he is now.

Also included with the TMNT Half-Shell Heroes Blast to the Past DVD, was a Jimmy Neutron DVD! I remember this show coming on Nickelodeon when I was younger. B hasn't shown a lot of interest in checking it out, but I have a feeling that he will soon. He loves math and science, so that show will be right up his alley!

This is a fun and exciting show for young TMNT fans, and it's definitely one that you'll want to add to your collection. It would make a great Easter basket gift, since it hits store shelves on March 15th!
