My new favorite necklace!

There's no question about summer being a busy time for most of us. Beautiful, sunny days make everyone excited to get out of the house to have some fun! We have a bunch of events planned the next couple months, including a wedding in New York City, and a few days at the beach. Having to go from casual to dressy can be difficult, especially when you're on vacation. Luckily I have found the best accessory to perfect any outfit!
I first heard of Wendy Mignot just before Mother's day, and wrote about her beautiful jewelry here: A Gift As Unique As Mom! She is an artist who takes great pride in creating fabulous leather and pearl jewelry. Each piece is hand strung and uses only the finest quality materials.
While browsing the Wendy Mignot website, I fell in love! Every piece of jewelry is absolutely beautiful, it was hard to pick just one. After much deliberation, I chose the Seacrest Freshwater Necklace made with white pearls.
I came home from a long weekend trip and was thrilled to see my necklace had arrived. I couldn't wait to open it!

The next day, my sister and I were able to sneak away from the kids to grab a drink at happy hour (thanks mom!). I put on my lovely Wendy Mignot necklace with shorts and a t-shirt. The necklace helped me look more put together by adding a feminine touch to the casual outfit. While there, two women came up to compliment the necklace and asked where they could get one too.

The jewelry is classic enough to wear for a more formal occasion. Since it goes from daytime to evening wear effortlessly; it's great for when you're on the road and have limited space in your baggage. You can use the included pouch, or even just wear it while you travel. Voila! The perfect summer statement piece.
