Charlotte charity hosts annual auction & golf tournament July 30 & August 1

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (July 19, 2016) – Ace & TJ’s Grin Kids’ 13th Annual Charity Weekend fundraiser, which features a golf tournament and auction, is scheduled for July 30 & August 1. All proceeds raised by the Charlotte-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit will go toward enhancing the lives of terminally ill and chronically disabled children by taking them and their families on an all-expenses-paid trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. Grin Kids’ Charity Weekend starts with an auction on Saturday, July 30 at 7 p.m. at Waterford Hall in Cornelius, NC. This year’s auction features items such as a custom, personalized golf cart by Paradise Golf Carts and use of a luxurious vacation home in Sanibel, FL provided by Galway Hooker.

Ace & TJ’s Grin Kids’ Charity Weekend culminates with a golf tournament scheduled for Monday, August 1, at NorthStone Country Club in Huntersville, NC. Check-in for the golf tournament begins at 9 a.m. for a shotgun start time at 11 a.m.

Last year’s charity weekend raised $92,000 and all funds went to providing a dream vacation to the Grin Kids families. For the 2016 trip, 40 families with children who have terminal illnesses and chronic disabilities have been selected for the charity’s five-day vacation to Walt Disney World. The selected families come from the Charlotte area; Birmingham, AL; Myrtle Beach and Columbia, SC.
