I love evenings at home with my kiddos. We have a pretty fun bedtime routine, and we try to stick to it as best we can, to ensure that everyone has a good night's sleep. Baby S is a champion sleeper. We just transitioned her to her crib a few weeks ago, and she has done wonderfully. She is out of the swaddling stage, but I have often worried about her little hands getting cold at night. Using a blanket in a crib is not safe. We put S to sleep on her back with nothing in her crib, every night and at naptime. I get the feeling that she could still use a little extra warmth and comfort, though. I recently connected with Zipadee-Zip by Sleeping Baby, which is a fabulous swaddle transition blanket.

We received two adorable Zipadee-Zips in size 3-6 mo. I fell in love with not only the cute fabrics, but the overall design of Zipadee-Zip. S loves to have the freedom to move around in her crib. She's not rolling over yet, but I know it won't be long before she is! She love to kick her feet and have access to her hands. 

Zipadee-Zip is a star shaped design. There is ample room for baby's arms and legs, and they don't feel too bound up or restricted. Baby is still free to move, yet stays comforted and warm through the night. Right now, it's summertime. We keep our house at 73 degrees at night, which is a cool sleeping temperature for the family. I do worry about S getting cold. She sleeps in footed pj's with open hands. With the Zipadee-Zip, she stays nice and warm. Unzipping for middle of the night diaper changes is a snap! The 3-6 month size is perfect for S. There is still a good bit of room in the Zipadee-Zip, so she'll still be able to wear them as the air gets cooler outside and fall rolls around.

I love the ladybug and ice cream print on both Zipadee-Zips that we received. They're perfect for summertime! Zipadee-Zip has many other uses than just bedtime. They can be worn over clothing to keep baby warm when they're outside. I'm looking forward to putting S in a Zipadee-Zip for our early morning walks when it cools off outside. Her hands and feet will stay nice and warm!

Ever since we transitioned S to her crib and started using the Zipadee-Zip, she has been sleeping 6-7 hours without waking. We're all getting a restful night's sleep, thanks to Zipadee-Zip!

How it works...

The star-shaped pointed sleeves and star-fish design is patent pending because it inspires sounder sleep than any other wearable blankets on the market. The slight resistance in the wing-span allows a baby to move around freely while still providing the enclosed, cozy sensation babies enjoy so much in the swaddle and the womb.

The "Moro" (or startle) reflex jolts a baby awake with a falling sensation. Babies are startled because they wake up and can’t feel their edges like they could in the womb. The Zipadee-Zip provides those "edges" or womb-like environment while providing them freedom to roll and use their arms and hands safely. This is why the Zipadee-Zip will work when all other products parents have tried to transition their babies typically fail. 

The Zipadee-Zip was designed to aid the swaddle transition but has so many other fabulous uses as well!
