Back to school, back to school... I can hardly believe that it's time for school to start. It seems like school just ended for the summer, and now here we are, stocking up on school supplies and buying shiny new shoes and accessories for our kiddos. For us, back to school season is huge this year. B is starting kindergarten, and I am semi in denial that I have an almost six-year-old son. We're all a little nervous about him starting school, and there will be a new routine to get used to.

B has been in preschool for the past two years, and it has been a wonderful experience for all of us. Preschool was half a day, so he came home for lunch. I now get the pleasure of doing something I have dreamed about for a long time (don't laugh)- packing school lunches! I am already making up a few meal plan ideas for my picky eater, and am excited about including a new favorite snack- Pirate's Booty!

We received a large bag of 12 individual bags of Pirate's Booty. These bags are the perfect size for snacking, or for including in a lunch box! These cheddary treats are bakes rice and corn puffs. They contain no arificial colors or preservatives. This is a snack that I can feel good about giving to my family.


B was very excited to see that Pirate's Booty would fit in his new lunch box for school!

B doesn't like to try new foods. If it doesn't look like something he's eaten in the past, he's always skeptical. Once I explained that they were like cheese puffs, he was willing to give them a try. At first, his impression was that they were a little different tasting, but good. He took a few puffs, ate them, and then gave the rest to his daddy, who happily gobbled them up. My husband thought they were truly delicous, He is a huge fan of cheddar, so he loves these!

The next morning, B asked if he could have Pirate's Booty for breakfast! I couldn't believe it! Though I didn't let him have the delicious snack for breakfast, I did let him have one with his lunch, and he ate the whole snack bag. He was asking for another one later in the day, and I let him have it, since this snack is mom-approved!

Of course, I helped myself to my own snack bag of Pirate's Booty and could immediately see why B and hubs loved these so much! They aged white cheddar is subtle, and yummy! The puffs sort of melt in your mouth, and are very satisfying! This is a guilt-free snack that they whole family can enjoy.
