I have an embarrassing confession, I have an almost crippling fear of slippery surfaces. This makes our Northern Virginian winters a nightmare for me! You never know when you are going to take a step onto black ice. Ray and I are always looking for shoes that will make me feel secure while still being stylish.

Yay! New Boots
When Lugz contacted us about a review, I jumped on the opportunity. The zippers on the boots my mom bought me for Christmas a few years back broke last winter; it was definitely time for a new pair. I could tell by looking at their website, Lugz would offer me great protection against the winter elements. I couldn't wait to try them out!

My new boots arrived at the perfect time! I had a super busy weekend ahead and the temperature was dropping fast. I decided to put them on right away to do my grocery shopping. I was impressed by how comfortable the Lugz were. Usually new boots need a few wears to break in, these have memory foam inside that provides a nice cushion when you take a step.

The next day, I had plans with my husband to go Christmas shopping. I was a little nervous about wearing new boots when I knew I would be walking for many hours, but I was curious about how they would look with my skinny jeans. Fashion won and I'm glad it did! The boots looked super cute and were more comfortable then my sneakers.

One place that always causes me stress is my daughters swimming lesson, the pool deck is always flooded with water and really slick. My Lugz made it worry-free! The soles offer great protection against slipping. I haven't had to deal with ice yet, but I can feel confident that I will be safe wearing these shoes.

I grew so attached to my Lugz that I decided to ditch my heels and wear them to a Christmas party. They added a cool, edgy touch that I loved! I got a ton of compliments too. It saved me from having sore feet and legs after mingling.
