Mardi Gras is here, and it's cause for celebration! Don't let the day slip away without taking some time to enjoy it with your family and friends! You can still plan an impromptu celebration and have some fun!

Whip up some pancakes for dinner! Shrove Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday, and it's tradition to serve up a hearty pancake dinner. Keep it simple with pancakes and bacon, or go wild with all of your favorite breakfast fixings. If you have kids, let them have a little fun by adding fruit toppings, whipped cream, chocolate chips and such to their pancakes.

Ge the whole family involved by creating some Mardi Gras masks! Grab a free printable Mardi Gras Mask over at Sasquatch Willow. Decorate the masks with paint, markers, crayons, glitter, sequins, adhesive jewels, feathers and more! Use thin elastic to make a strap for the masks, or use straws, so you can simply hold the mask up to your face.

You can pass out Mardi Gras beads to everyone at the dinner table and enjoy wearing them and showing off your creative masks.
