Thanks so Sephora for providing me with product for my review. All thoughts are my own. This post may contain affiliate links.
Every gal has that friend with the gorgeous skin. If you're super close, she won't mind if you lean over and ask, 'What's your secret for such great looking skin?' If she's truly your friend, she'll share the wealth and let you in on her secret. I've struggled with combination/problem skin all of my life. As a child, I suffered through acne off and on, and it really had an impact on my self-esteem.
Today, I'm 35, and I still have occasional problems with my skin, but for the most part, I have a healthy glow and very few breakouts. When I do have breakouts, it's usually around my time of the month, and I know what triggers them- lack of sleep, too much caffeine, junk food, not enough water, and hormones, of course.
Part of my success in having good-looking skin has been all about ditching producs that were causing me problems, and switching to the ones that worked for me. It chucked all of my cheap makeup into the trash can, and started using (yes, pricer) high quality products from well-known brands. A change in make-up made a huge difference, and so did not using every cleanser under the sun on my sensitive face.
Aside from looking a bit too tired (no one sleeps when Baby S is cutting teeth), I am consistently happy with the appearance of my skin, thanks to the great products I've been using!
I learned a long time ago to stop using harsh beauty products on my face. I do have combination skin- my Mediterranean heritage lends way to sometime overly oily skin. I remove my makeup every night, but remove it with water (WaterWipes do the trick!). Twice a week, I use gentle cleansers, and my go-tos are both from Sephora.
These three products from SEPHORA help me to keep a healthy glow, balanced look, and overall, great-looking skin.
The Detoxifying Foam Cleanser isn't something that I use all the time. I use this when I feel that my skin could use a little extra boost. It's really gentle and gives me a healthy, fresh glow. $16.00, Sephora.
The Oil-in-Foam Cleanser gently lifts dirt and cleans my pores. This is the one I use on a more regular basis. It's also great for working to remove stubborn makeup. $16.00, Sephora.
The Anti-Age Cream? Well, like I said, I'm 35, and wrinkes are a thing now. I have a high forehead with noticeable lines. The cream is really light, and I use it once or twice a week on my problem areas- under eyes, over wrinkles, etc. I always notice a difference after I've used it and will probably begin to use it daily or every other day to see if my skin improves even more. This particular cream is no longer available from SEPHORA, but they have lots of other wonderful skincare products to choose from!

ReplyDeleteMy skin is extremely oily and got this way about 2 years ago. I was having hormonal problems and was anemic and had to wait until my hemoglobin was high enough to do a hysterectomy. I've had that done and am 7 weeks out from surgery and just as oily and acne horribly. Back to the dermatologist I go. I never had acne this bad growing up. But I've never had my skin so oily either.
