Two Words: More Sleep. Eclipse + Giveaway

A very special thank you to Eclipse for providing me with their beautiful curtains for review. All opinions are 100% my own. This post may contain affiliate links.

Sleep is a precious commodity. Even more so when you are missing out on it regularly as a Mom. I have some good news for you poor tired Moms out there who aren't getting any downtime during the day. This concept is so straightforward, you are going to kick yourself for not thinking of it sooner. I recently got a chance to try out some Eclipse curtains designed for kids rooms... and nap time will never be the same again...

You may be familiar with the concept of blackout curtains. Eclipse is the #1 designer of this product and they have a kid's line that is adorable. They sent me the Batiste design to try out with my girls. It is so adorable and versatile. White curtains with an airy ruffle detail - a classic beautiful look that really would fit into many room designs.

I don't know about you, but I have some light sensitive little ones. They are up at the first crack of dawn in the morning and have a hard time settling down for naps in the afternoon. I was so excited for this review because I knew that these curtains would be a winner. The effect of the curtains is pretty dramatic. They darken the room a huge amount - especially the girls room which faces the morning sun. Prior to trying these, my three year old would come into my room promptly at sunrise and open my curtains and say "Look Mommy! It's morning time!". (Yes, I am aware, thank you so much.)

The Girls Room on a sunny morning with their Eclipse Curtains drawn.
Now, the morning wake up is a little slower, a little less full speed ahead- and nap time is more regular. I have three kids, three years old and under. Any increase in downtime for me is a win. So, if your situation is like mine, you may want to look into this design upgrade to your kid's room!

There are a ton of cute designs to choose from also and they can be found at many of our favorite stores like Target, Walmart or Amazon! Here are just a few prints that they come in:

There are several other benefits to using Eclipse curtains in your home, not just in the kids rooms:

ENERGY EFFICIENCY. They can reduce your heating and cooling costs by helping to reduce the draftiness of windows and blocking unwanted light that in turn can overheat a room.

NOISE REDUCTION. Eclipse curtains can help cut down on unwanted outside noise from traffic or other sources (maybe that bird that wakes up at 2 am and decides to chirp outside your window?? We will see.)

DESIGN. Eclipse curtains have a triple layer design, so they hang nicely and have a nice weight and quality. With all the designs to choose from, you can surely find something that matches your taste.

My husband gets migraines pretty often and one of the things that he needs when he gets one is a dark room. I am definitely getting some of these pretty curtains for our room. Also, I really like the idea of the coziness of a dark room for a nap! (If I ever get done with all of the laundry downstairs...😩). I'll include some links below to places you can buy some for your family! When it comes to sleep, the darker the room, the better!
