Thank you to Ergo for the product. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Babywearing: it's one of those things I never knew I would do so often now that I have two. I love keeping my baby close and it is so convenient in so many situations: going to the grocery store, going on walks, simply playing outside sometimes. I am so grateful for the opportunity to try the Ergo Omni 360 Baby Carrier All-in-One in Cool Air Mesh. It is everything you need: machine washable, easy to put on, and comfortable for baby.
Ergo started in 2002 when Karin Frost had tried numerous baby carriers and none were exactly what she wanted. Karin was able to design a baby carrier that is not only great for baby but also the one carrying. Babywearing creates such a bond with the child and is a great way to comfort the little ones in the early days. In the later days, the Ergo carriers are perfect for all kinds of adventures.
You can begin using the Ergo carriers at 7 pounds with a newborn insert and can continue to use them up to 45 pounds! They are ergonomically designed to evenly distribute baby's weight to protect the wearer's hips and back. The Ergo Omni 360 Baby Carrier All-in-One also has an extra pad for the lower back to provide even more comfort. For those sunny days, Ergo has a little privacy shade as well.
The carrier is so comfortable, but it is also very practical including a little zipper pocket for your phone or keys. The design of this particular carrier also helps keep the little ones cooler. The fabric is lightweight and breathes. I especially appreciate this because Maverick tends to overheat very quickly.
Trying to keep up with my two (almost 3) year old is challenging sometimes if I have Maverick in the stroller. We are at the Children's Museum in this picture. Strollers just cause congestion in the exhibits and other areas. The Ergo carrier makes it so easy to transition from the stroller to wearing Maverick, it is amazing.
How to Use Your Ergo
You put on the carrier and buckle at the bottom in the back. If you can't reach to the back, you can simply buckle in the front then slide it around the back.
Put one strap on in the front, put the baby in, then pull up the other strap. You then have a buckle at the top behind your neck.
Tighten and go.
Ta-da!
This is me and Maverick on an evening walk with our family. He was awake looking at everything but was soothed to sleep by the motion.
Want it? Buy it!
The Ergo Omni 360 Baby Carrier All-in-One runs $180. It may seem expensive to some, but let me tell you, it is absolutely worth it, especially if you have more than one child.
If $180 seems a little too expensive or you're not a fan of this particular style, check out the other carrier designs.
While you're shopping for baby gear, they also sell diaper bags, nursing pillows, strollers, and Swaddlers.

If you're not in the market for a baby carrier, consider purchasing for a new mom or dad. Babywearing has changed my days and made going on adventures more feasible and more fun.
Thank you, Ergo!
I carried my third child around in her carrier everywhere we went when she was a baby! I have two older children so it was such a lifesaver! Not only that, but it provided a safe and happy place for my baby girl. :) I definitely recommend to all new moms now!
ReplyDeleteI do, too! It makes such a difference.
DeleteThese look like nice carriers! Now that my son is going to be a dad again in a few short months I am thinking he could benefit from one of these.
ReplyDeleteMy husband will wear this, too. It is great for both of us. Easy to use, easy to wash, and comfortable for baby.
