It's a conversation that I have pretty often with my seven-year-old... the fact that he nor I have ever know what it's like to go hungry. Our fridge is always stocked, and I'm sad to say that as hard as we try not to let it happen, sometimes food in our house does go to waste. When the kids complain about not liking the food placed in front of them, I'm quick to remind them that there are those across our own county and state who don't have enough to eat. It's a sad realization, but where there is sadness, we plant seeds of hope by finding ways to help others.

MANNA FoodBank is making a difference & you can help!

Throughout Western North Carolina, 1 in 4 children do not have access to three square meals a day – Dunkin’ Donuts and the MANNA FoodBank are ready to change that! As the school year kicks off, they are teaming up to support MANNA’s Packs for Kids program which provides supplemental weekend meals to children who receive free school meals during the week.

From August 12-25, $1 from any 50-count munchkin or dozen donuts sold will go back to the MANNA Packs for Kids program!

There's a DD restaurant very close to our house, and we probably visit at least once a week for a coffee break or to grab a quick breakfast. It's great to know that $ from our usual purchases will go back to the MANNA Packs for Kids program. We're eager to help & hope you'll do the same!
