Happy Saturday and first weekend of November, friends! Today is a great day, perhaps not weather-wise, since it's raining and blah out, but I am still rejoicing in this day.
We woke up pretty early this morning because D was selected to participate in a computer science initiative and it started at 8am. I'm not a fan of early weekend wakeups, but I am a fan of encouraging our kids to pursue their interests, and science just happens to be one of hers, so we made it happen this morning.

| The "angry face leaf" R found on the ground this morning sums up our feelings of early Saturday mornings! Later this afternoon, we'll be heading down to Grams' house to celebrate her 91st birthday! If you've been following the blog long enough, you've probably read about her being (lovingly) referred to as "Spaghetti Grandma" by the girls because we visit with her nearly every weekend and she always makes a spaghetti dinner! She's a very special lady, who pours so much love into our family and we are excited to celebrate her today!
