Holy guacamole you guys, it's our 17th wedding anniversary today! According to an internet search, furniture is the traditional gift for reaching 17 years of marriage. We don't really need any new furniture, so I had to get a little creative. I'm not posting spoilers here though,  just in case!

Anyway, after being married for so long, sometimes things get a little chaotic and it's easy to overlook all of the awesome things about your relationship. I'm trying to be more mindful, so today I'm sharing 5 Little Things I Love About Us.....

1. We can be completely random with our conversations and the other person just gets it and continues the conversation without missing a beat. I can't even count how many times we've been watching television or driving somewhere and it triggers a thought or a memory. One of us (usually me) blurts out the randomness and the other person (usually you) already knows what the heck is being talked about before an explanation is given.

2. We appreciate one another's goofiness. I admit it, I am way goofier, I know, but we always know how to make each other smile. 

3. If I come up with an idea that I have trouble implementing, you are quick to offer a solution and help to implement it. I'd like to say that I do the same for you, but let's be real- I'm the ideas person and you are the one who makes things happen.

4. We always say I love you- like all of the time. I really don't know that I've ever heard anyone say it quite so much. I'm sure it's sickening to some people, especially our girls, but I love hearing it from you and saying it to you!  

5. Our daughters- this is the thing I love the most about us. You knew, even when we were a newly dating couple, that we would have children one day. I love being a mother to our girls and I love watching you as a father. We are raising some pretty awesome young ladies and I cannot thank you enough for being my partner through it!

These are just a few of the things that I love the most about us. Some may seem trivial or "little", but as I get older and learn more, I know that it's these things that matter the most!
