I cannot believe it has been 8 years since we stood at the altar swearing to God and our friends that our love would be forever. In those 8 years there have been so many trials for us, but we always persevered... I think we are both too stubborn to be anything less than successful in our marriage. So today on our 8th anniversary I want to tell you why I love you so much (yes now you have it in writing).
I Love you Because
1. You let me be myself. My quirky ways make you laugh and you never try to change me. You indulge these quirky ways and laugh with me and at me when I act silly.
2. You support me when I need it and even at times I feel I do not deserve it.
3. In sickness and in health you have been there for me. Coming home from our honeymoon expecting it to continue on only to have to bring me to the emergency room for an unexpected surgery... you stood by me the whole time and advocated for me louder than even I would.
4. For better or for worse- We have faced some hard times but we got through it because we had each other. I would do it all again to be where we are right now.
5. You give me the world- You would do anything to make me happy, less stressed, or even just a token of affection because it is who you are. I want a home library and a space to myself and you are building that for me because you love me.
6. You make me feel safe- On bad days and even on good days the feel of your arms around me makes me feel safe. A girl always wants to feel that way.
7. You rub my back every day when I am falling asleep because you know it helps me fall asleep.
8. Your love in unconditional, not only with me but with our children. They are the light of my life and I can see they are the light of yours. You are an amazing father and I could not be more grateful to have you as my husband.
