Shimmer and Shine: Legend of the Dragon Treasure available on DVD August 20th + DVD #Giveaway

Nickelodeon's genies-in-training, Shimmer and Shine fly back onto DVD August 20 in Shimmer and Shine: Legend of the Dragon Treasure. The magical collection features six dragon-themed episodes, including two double-length adventures, and follows Shimmer, Shine and Leah as they meet Dragon Rider Farnaz, track down a Dragon Gem, rescue dragons and even learn to ride them.

Shimmer and Shine: Legend of the Dragon Treasure is available from Nickelodeon Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment on August 20, 2019 for a suggested retail price of $10.99 wherever DVDs are sold.

Shimmer and Shine: Legend of the Dragon Treasure episodes:

Legend of the Dragon Gem - A magic treasure map leads Shimmer, Shine, Leah and Dragon Rider Farnaz to the Dragon Gem, but when Zeta gets ahold of it, the girls must help Farnaz get it back before Zeta grows too powerful.

The Dragon Rider - Dragon Rider Farnaz teaches Shimmer, Shine and Leah how to ride dragons. When Zeta takes the dragons, the genies-in-training must work together to rescue them.

Zahracorns on Parade - Zeta uses a Zahracorn suit to sneak Nazboo and his entire dragon family into the Zahracorn Parade.

Nazboo's Magic Robe - When Nazboo gets a magic robe, Zeta becomes jealous of his new powers.

Dragon Tales - Zeta tells Shimmer, Shine and Leah how she first met Nazboo after saving him in Dragon Land, but Nazboo remembers it a little differently.

Nazboo's Family Reunion - Zeta recruits Nazboo's siblings to help her take Shimmer and Shine's gems.

Our thoughts...

Bean is at an age where she is really starting to connect to characters from books, movies, and shows. We love Nick Jr. shows because they're geared toward helping toddlers and preschool-age kiddos learn. Shimmer and Shine has become a fast favorite of Little Bean's. She loves the characters, and we've even been randomly spotting Shimmer and Shine books and toys when we've been out shopping in stores like Marshall's.

In the newest DVD release from Shimmer and Shine, it's all about dragons! My hubby loves dragons, and since he's such a big GOT fan, he was excited to see dragons in our daughter's favorite cartoon series. The friendly dragons help Shimmer and Shine, and all of their friends solve lots of problems in these magical episodes.

As a mom, I love that the stories promote friendship, teamwork, and honesty. The episodes are colorful, fun, and easy to watch- even for older children and grown-ups.
It's definitely worth picking up and adding to your home DVD collection so your littles can watch these wonderful episodes anytime! If you have little ones at home, you can absolutely incorporate at-home lessons to correspond with these episodes!
