I am not much of a girly girl but I do keep my toe nails painted and pedicured. I love to wear flip flops, even in the winter and pretty toes make all the difference. One thing that has always bothered me is the nail polish. I have found a couple over the years that have been good and a little better for me as far as all the chemicals in nail polishes. So, what do you do when you receive a wonderful package with 4 beautiful new nail polishes and you are going to the beach in 4 days and Disney in 8 days? You go to the nail salon for a pedicure, of course! And you invite your Mom to go along so that you can see two of the polish colors. My mom and I headed out on Saturday morning to get our toes done with our two polishes in hand. I was going to us the color 'Meanwhile in Michigan' and my Mom really liked the color of 'Naughty List'. The first thing I noticed about these polishes was that they did not have the overwhelming, chemical, "nose-hair burning" smell to them. The two nail technicians mentioned the same thing. She said that the smell was so much better than most bottles of polish that she uses all day long. She finished my pedicure and did my nail polish. She commented on how creamy it was and how smoothly it went on my toes. She even called another technician over to look when she was finished. She this polish was so shiny that she didn't need to apply the top coat that she usually puts on. And she was right. My toes looked so pretty. My Mom had the same experience. She didn't need to have the top coat applied either because her polish was already so shiny. Just the positive affirmation from the nail technicians was good for me. I knew I had found some great nail polish and the best thing is that it is not full of harmful chemicals.
