It's possibly my absolute favorite time of year in North Carolina. The leaves are beautiful shades of red, yellow and orange and the air has just enough crisp to warrant something soft and long-sleeved. With the change in temperature, I head to my favorite kid's apparel shop to outfit my boys in the best!
I am loving this weather and I hope we get to enjoy the 50's and 60's before the temperatures plummet! We had a pretty harsh summer heat wise and it wasn't always easy for my two boys to play outside for long stretches. Sometimes, within 15 minutes they would be over-heated and needing to cool down. Needless to say, my entire family is happy that Fall is here.
Gearing up for cooler temps, I always head to my favorite children's apparel shop, Sawyer. Not only are the designs original and adorable, but the quality of the apparel is second to none. I admit, I'm a sucker for a long-sleeved tee that is soft enough to be pajamas and cute enough for dinner with the fam.

When I see moments where their friendship is developing, I can't help but remember back to when they were both babies. I would daydream about the day they would be best friends. Now that my daydreams are my present, I can't help but wonder what the future holds!
Now that my two boys are 7 and 8 years old, they are coming into their own style. They have preferences and their own unique taste in clothing. ReplyDeleteWell, I am not a parent, but I do embrace outdoor kids with my niece and nephews. They live on a river and have chickens, cats and dogs, so they are constantly outside. Plus they all go to a montesorri school where they really embrace and encourage the outdoors as part of a healthy life.

ReplyDeleteOur kiddos attend Kindergarten our local Waldorf school...and spend most of their days in the woods...rain or shine...or snow like today! They have 14 acres at school to play on and then come home and spend time on our property climbing trees and building forts. I see such a change in them on days where they can't be outside---nautre helps expell all the energy of little ones (and their mamas and papas too!)
